We came in for our first Pisco Sours and a small appetizer, and we left feeling completely inspired and excited!
Not only was the presentation of the cocktails and food absolutely beautiful, but the flavors were delicate, balanced, and truly inspiring. Every detail felt thoughtful and intentional.
The service was excellent, and during our short visit we had the pleasure of meeting the owner. She has such a warm, welcoming presence and felt instantly familiar. She truly made our experience delightful by sharing insights about the dishes and even explaining how I could prepare them myself.
Such a special experience — we can’t wait to return!

A really enjoyable experience from start to finish. Inka is owned by a Peruvian woman who clearly is passionate about her restaurant and her culture and she offered great service as one of the waitresses there. So right from the moment you sit down your getting a real Peruvian experience. Then come the drinks which of course feature pisco and are delicious. The presentation is beautiful and then the food is really tasty and elevated. If you’ve been to pero you’ll appreciate their version if the most common dishes and if you haven’t been there you’ll just enjoy your good for what it is and for how pretty it is. The ceviche is tender and so much better than Mexican ceviche. Sorry it’s true. The octopus was lovely, the causas fluffy and creamy. Honestly we liked everything. I’ll be going back to try the off+menu parihuela. But I can confidently say that you’ll enjoy this little Peruvian gem of a restaurant.

Excellent excellent excellent. Probably the best meal we had in Playa. Nice small place with incredibly attentive owners who’ll guide you through the menu to some real deliciousness. All was great and I can particularly recommend the Seco de Res (super delicious sauce) and Tataki de Atun to start (so delicious and beautiful presentation that sets the stage for every fantastic bite). Recommended wine was the perfect accompaniment, too. Highly highly recommended. Not to be missed and so different than all else you’ll find amongst the many restaurants in Playa.

What a pleasant surprise was to find this amazing Peruvian place in Playa del Carmen, calle 26 and 10 just a few feet from 5ta Avenida. This restaurant was exactly what we were looking for to satisfy our craving for something unique and delicious.
Jessica, our server greeted us with a big smile and asked us to scan the QR code to look at the menu. She was friendly, told us about the great team they have and talk about the dishes from Aji the Gallina, lomito saltado, arroz Chaufa( the Peruvian version of Chinese fry rice) they have all the favorites! We order the papas a la Guacaina for starter and the Lomo Saltado and the Aji de Gallina. Of course we had to try the Chicha Morada, a blue corn drink that dates back to the Inkas and it was so refreshing and tasty that was the perfect drink to accompany our dishes., WOW! Just when you thought Playa del Carmen is only about Mexican and Italian restaurants, we found this Peruvian jewel and believe me, prepared to be impressed!

Inka serves traditional Peruvian and Chifa (Chinese-Peruvian) cuisine. This is a relaxed but proper dining experience, not the typical boisterous pub food establishments along the strip. The pollo tipakay (₽330) comes with rice, which is basically what you’d get in the arroz chaufa (₽380 if with seafood). The serving size is generous.

Came here for some Peruvian cuisine. We ordered the most authentic Peruvian dishes Lomo Salgado and Ceviche with Arroz Chaufa with seafood. For appetizer we choose the Wortons Peruvian style which is their Chinese fusion option. We choose to stay with non-alcoholic drinks which was ginger lime lemonade fusion. The food was fresh, the meat for Lomo was tender and succulent. The seafood Ceviche was really amazing. My only critique is that their menu is QR and my cell was not working properly, and the server did not make any attempt to bring out their paper menu. Specially since their menu directed to their instagram page with pictures of plates, some they no longer served.

I did not expect to find Peruvian food this good in Playa del Carmen. I know a lot of Peruvians and eat Peruvian food all the time, and this spot easily ranks at the top.
The ceviche was arguably the best I’ve ever had in my life — incredibly fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor.
I wasn’t feeling well that day, and they even made me a homemade chicken soup. It was exactly what I needed: comforting, flavorful, with the perfect amount of ginger and scallions. Truly 10/10.
The service was just as impressive as the food. Everyone was super friendly, warm, and attentive. You can really feel the love they put into every dish.
If you’re looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine, this is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

Went with a party of 6 and had no trouble with seating and the service was excellent. The food was traditional with lots of bursting flavor! When asked which was our favorite dish by the owner, I replied that it was a coin toss, there wasn’t one thing that I didn’t enjoy!

We had the most amazing lunch at Inka Cocina Peruana! We were greeted by Magally and our server Jessica. I had let them know we would be celebrating my mother’s 81st birthday and they did not disappoint. We enjoyed ceviche, octopus, lomo saltado peruana and the seafood fried rice which was a cross between Peruvian and Chinese food. Jessica answered all our questions, she paid special attention to my mom’s allergy and overall her service was impeccable(this review is coming from a server of 25 years 😉 so trust me lol). I highly recommend Inka and can’t wait to come back and try different items! Thank you to everyone including Sandra who was so helpful over WhatsApp with my reservation. ❤️

Update: the items we ordered and got them right. For my main plate, carretillero mixto, they didn’t get it right! Instead of crema de rocoto, it was plain ceviche mixto…
Food was decent but waiting for the food to come was just insane.. sadly we sat at the restaurant for about 45minutes and the food wasn’t coming (only one appetizer was server so far) so we asked for the food to go. They said it wouldn’t take much longer but even to have the food to go it took over 1 hour.
For context we ordered right away once we sat at our table but well… If you have 1hr or so in your itinerary to eat, avoid this place. Server was nice but they just don’t have enough staff to handle things properly.
