Valentine’s dinner, very busy as expected. We had reservations. Several people waiting to be seated, or for carryout orders. First time here, but that convinced me they have a great reputation in the community. We had table dining for two, not hibachi. Our food was delicious and fresh. We were not checked on frequently, but thats completely acceptable in consideration of how busy they were. We will definitely be back, and hopefully for the whole experience. But also was great with just the table service.

Enjoyed the hibachi performance by Chef Babe! Portions were generous, and food was plated nicely. Unfortunately they were a little short staffed as we saw our server twice, and she forgot to put one of our table orders in, which left a person with no food. The manager kindly corrected the situation, but it still put a damper on our celebration. Overall, I would go back, drinks are good, and the menu has a great selection

One of fastest dining experiences I’ve ever had, period! We had full course meal with sushi and were in and out in the span of about 45 minutes. Service was great, atmosphere was good. We decided not to do live cooking, which was offered, in preference of a more private experience. I ordered the following:
1. Hibachi Chicken and shrimp – also came with soup and salad
2. Avatar Sushi roll

The food was good and the atmosphere felt nice, but was a little disappointed that they didn’t have to-go spoons… like they dont have them…

Server touched my arm in a way that wasn’t really to my liking. Told my date that it made me uncomfortable, then the server did the same thing to her and made her feel uncomfortable! Now I understand that some people are “just that way”, and I understand this server was female, but this server might want to step into the 2000s and realize people don’t like their arm weirdly touched and rubbed when asking about water. Creepy. Furthermore, I understand it was busy, but to leave two empty water glasses unfilled on three visits to the table, and then upon noticing it only fill one glass up is just poor understanding of basic table needs. Food was pretty average. Great job to the chef for cooking steak properly and being very nice and accommodating! The attraction the a hibachi style dinner is some of the flair that goes into it, but InJapan lacks some showmanship. At least spin an egg or something. . The fire and “juggling” of utensils was pretty standard, but we just weren’t blown away. Front staff were very nice. Sushi rice was very underwhelming and seemed underseasoned, but the salmon and tuna itself were fine. Rolls made well and cucumber was fine. Uni and Saba sushi were the worst that I have ever had, ever. Might just want to take those off the menu. I’ve had Uni and Saba at many places and I really tried to try my second bite to see if it was maybe just a little off on the first bite and I know it is an uncommon order, but why should I have to go that far into my reasoning for a second bite of sea urchin? It just was the worst that I’ve had. Same for the mackerel. We ate all of our food. Not the worst place. Would still eat here again. Just not my favorite place. Hope this helps other potential diners. Try it out. Let them know if it gets any better.

Food bland. Soup was very good. Salad dressing no flavor. Sauce for dipping not like it used to be. Disappointed this time. People very nice

Good dine-in sashimi, atrocious takeout hibachi, teriyaki and bento tempura . I wanted fresh sashimi and since it doesn’t transport well in hot weather I had it as dine in. Fish was fresh and we’ll displayed arrangement. The take home packages were all screwed up. Starting with the fact that there were supposed to be soup and salad with each, but all were left out even though 8 containers of house dressing were included. All left a lot to be desired. Hibachi was supposed to be filet mignon, but the meat was horribly dry and tough. Fried rice was below average in taste and texture. Teriyaki chicken was also ridiculously dry, needed a lot more teriyaki sauce to make it palatable. Bentonville box was missing one of the sides, only gyoza was there but shumai was missing. Again no salad or soup. California roll pieces were awful. Servers were really nice.

So if you been to a hibachi style restaurant like this one then you might not be as impressed as the others. The shrimp is bigger then most hibachis I’ve been to. They don’t throw the shrimp in your mouth here or have as much flair as the other hibachis it’s just get in have someone cook for you and that’s it. Pretty basic compared to the other hibachis I’ve been too. Food was still amazing and tasted delicious of course. The server we had wasn’t so great but it was pretty busy when we got there so I understand.
