We had such a great experience here, great service, excellent food, I’m kind of baffled at some of the negative reviews on here… like maybe there’s a local rivalry?! Beer on draft was excellent (northwesterly IPA), we shared the nachos and the pub fries which were so well-executed, and I got the salad with beets and leeks which was creative and really delicious! To top it all off our waitress was super nice and attentive, and the atmosphere was bright and modern inside. Great place!

We have been going to Initiative since it first opened up here in Madras and it’s our favorite place to go! On top of the food and beers they have wonderful events like trivia, bingo and paint nights. Highly recommend for those with littles as they have pool and games! The staff kicks butt as they often get busy in waves and they handle it like champs.

The wife and I stopped in to kill some time while our car was getting worked on at Gill S. From the second we entered, we knew this will be a huge success. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was on point for and the food was a home run. Very glad to have this in Madras, we really needed a place like this.

This is was a great find. We got some chicken nacho’s to share and forgot a picture. They were excellent. We tried 4 different beers and enjoyed them all. “Hare be the dog” was my favorite. It was a cold IPA w/ an IBU of 19. Excellent flavor without the heaviness.

This may be my new favorite place. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I loved how spacious it was, and I can not wait until they are able to open the “garage doors” and let the sunshine in. Oh, and the beer was perfect

The buffalo chicken sandwich was amazing, as were the garlic parm fries. Vodka tonic was appropriately double and tall. The lady had the B17 salad and the pub pretzels. Obviously she enjoyed the pretzel more, the cheese sauce was fantastic. Staff were polite, attentive, and entertaining. Overall, I’d definitely go again, probably on the weekend to try the wings…lol. Everything is mostly house made, so if you’re picky, and want to order off menu, which you shouldn’t be anyways, don’t be surprised if they don’t have some dumb shit.

Beautiful space and excellent service. Good beer. Food was greasy, only complaint. Good variety of options for food but everything we got was too greasy for our taste (tacos, steak bowl, kids meals). I appreciate the menu labels as gluten free or dairy free, thank you!

Fun place people were enjoying themselves and the great food and atmosphere. I had the Cowboy Burger w “Cowboy candy” jalapeños and the best parm garlic French fries I’ve ever tasted.
