I’ve loved that place ever since I discovered it as an LSU freshman in ’96/97. Inga is great and her sandwiches are just as good.

Pretty average. The meats were good but there are anything you find anywhere that sells deli meat. To standout you need unique bread/ toppings/ condiments etc. The bread here is flat and nothing special. Would try again if I’m on this side of town, but nothing I would go out of my way for.

This place was wonderful! Just a quick walk from my classes and dorm on campus and very quick and lovely service! I had the ham & swiss cheese sandwich with several other fixings as well as some chips on the side with a Coke. The establishment was very cute — the perfect definition of a hometown hole in the wall gem. I highly recommend stopping by to grab some lunch and then getting coffee at Highland Coffees just down the road!!

This location has been a disappointing experience. The owner is consistently rude and unwilling to listen or understand customer concerns. She often makes dismissive comments like “you can’t add anything else” or “you can’t have this,” which makes the environment unwelcoming. If you’re simply looking for food and nothing more—no flexibility or service expectations—this place might be fine. But if you value respectful service and being treated like a customer who matters, I’d recommend going elsewhere. Woah I could give ZERO stars.

I love this place. We eat here before nearly every LSU home football game and have done so for about 10 years. We also ate here often during college nearly 20 years ago. It has been consistently delicious with excellent quality for as many years as I’ve been going. The bread as amazing! Try #11, the BEST!

Owner recommended the steak and onion sandwich. She marinated the steak herself and it was an experience you wouldn’t expect at a chain store. The personal touch showed in the food and it was worth more than what I paid there. A must eat if you’re nearby.

The sandwiches are simple and good. Lots of variety and you’ll definitely feel full. What won’t be full is your wallet, the subs are way overpriced for the size. I know they’re almost on campus, but given that the largest group of customers is students, you’d think then would have more student friendly prices.
