Pretty good food. The burgers were about a 7/10, the Philly cheese steak a 7/10, Cajun fries were very good the onion rings were literally burger king onion rings (avoid). Our dual hair colored waiter was the worst part of the experience. He acted like he wanted to be somewhere else, seemed frustrated to have to do anything and never returned to our table once. Prices were a little steep. All in all decent food at high prices but I’d still recommend.

This is a great local place with great food and a nice bar. Beer selection is good and I’ve never had a bad food experience, whether dining in or grabbing food to go. The only area where they lose points is service. The service is good, but it is SLOW. Make sure you have time if you are dining in.

I would have given them 5 stars if I hadn’t had a drink. The drink was tasty, but the bartender’s pour was pretty light.
My Farmers burger was excellent. Very high quality beef was used. You could tell by the flavor. It had a couple of slices of pastrami on it along with a fried egg. I got the onion rings which were thick sliced and we’ll battered.
I also got the Korean BBQ bone in wings. They were delicious, but one the small side. Nice and crispy on the outside but still tender inside. A little pricey at $12 for 7 wings, considering the size.

As someone who worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years and am someone who frequently eats out this is one of my favorite places to grab something to eat. Consistently good, the ambiance is great, and one of the best restaurants in the area. I recommend checking it out, especially if you’re in the area.

Had a very poor experience here. The food was okay, but waited for over an hour after ordering to get our food and were never updated on or apologized to. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded so there was really no explanation for the timing. We also asked to sub impossible meat on two of the burger options and were told no problem. On one they did not have guacamole so they left it off (basically making it the impossible burger with ranch) and on the other we also removed bacon. They also ran out of coleslaw for the fish and chips. All of the missing ingredient updates came over 45 minutes after ordering. Both burgers were upcharged ~$8 with no warning. Overall would definitely avoid due to poor service/missing items with no adjustments to the bill.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience here, despite a couple pleasant visits in the past at the bar.
There appeared initially to be some sort of confusion on their end with a pick up order, after I called to confirm a take out order my mother had placed. The person I spoke to there said they had not received the order properly and took the order again.
When I arrived to pick it up, they were going to charge me even though my mother had already paid for it. We had two proofs of payment but they said they never received it. No big deal, I was happy to pay for it and then they could refund my mother. But apparently they also had started the order my mother had placed in the first place so they did receive it??
In all of this confusion, they basically insinuated that this was our fault that they were making a double order. After 20min of my family wanting for me in the car to clear this nonsense up, I was finally on my way out the door with my (cold) food.
Later on that weekend my mother called to get a refund since it had turned out they HAD CHARGED her. She was given the run around (this was a $75+ order by the way) and spoke to several people in the restaurant about this who all basically blew her off over a couple days. When she finally was able to get her refund the managed/owner she spoke to gave her a bunch of silly excuses and once again blamed her and recommended not to get take out from there.
I would recommend the same, DO NOT order food from this restaurant. It seemed like they would have been happy to double charge us for this whole ordeal if my mother didn’t follow up.

The food was great! But…. The waiter Lucian needs to be trained on customer service. We ordered an appetizer, but it never came. Our meals came first and we asked about the appetizer and he said “they’re coming I only have two hands”. We were just mentioning it to make sure he didn’t forget about it. I thought that was VERY rude. BUT Before that thing happened, when we got there we told the same waiter there was no tp in bathroom (women’s) and he said he would take care of it. We used the bathroom again before we left, and still no tp in there. but again the food was awesome! No issues with that!

Favorite place to stop by when visiting Canaan! Friendly service, management truly sets the tone, attentive, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Food is a solid 10/10. Generous portions , presentation is on point, Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Canaan area!!

Horrible Service. Only one waitress for a Saturday night. Waited an hour for food. Onion rings served without onion?! Lobster roll was all bread and butter. My suggestion skip this place. The person who did their website pictures should be a millionaire!!
