The service was a mixed bag. Our server was genuinely sweet and clearly caught in an uncomfortable position, but the manager came across as tense and seemed to be taking it out on the situation.
Not a great spot for little ones, there’s no kids’ menu or child-friendly options. I asked for chocolate milk for my 3-year-old and they didn’t have it. I ordered her a fruit plate, and when I tried a piece of the pineapple it surprisingly tasted like onions. The eggs were also overcooked.
On the bright side, my chilaquiles with shredded chicken were pretty good.
Parking is a nightmare, and overall I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re bringing young kids.
We had “the chancla” and tacos de barbacoa it was delicious! We also order the small sopes as an appetizer, what a joy! 10/10 definitely coming again! And the drinks are super fancy and cute congrats to the chefs the food was incredible! Thank you!
FYI – check your receipt and make sure it matches what they’re putting on the menu (online is incorrect btw). They’ve gone up a minimum of $1 and some items even more.
Long story short – if you don’t mind paying for overpriced items that don’t match quality then this place is for you.
This is a Mexican Restaurant that doesn’t serve chips, even as an appetizer, but they do serve some salsa with the food. The salsa is decent, if lacking in spice.
Their tostadas were fantastic.
The veggie tomale had a giant block of well seasoned tofu. Unfortunately the tofu’s texture was a bit mushy and offputting.
The drinks were above average.
Overall, the place was more expensive than the quality of food deserves to be, though the atmosphere and service were what you would expect at a fine dining restaurant.
3 out of 5 stars
Lose one star due to not having chips at a Mexican Restaurant (even as a side or appetizer? Really?)
Lose one star due to mushy tofu that wasn’t even in the description of the dish.
Our server, Andrea was absolutely fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations, ensuring we had the best possible dining experience. Due to wonderful service and delicious food I will be going back
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the hype or the price. Dishes were just okay, nothing memorable, and definitely not worth what they charge. For the price point, I expected a lot more in terms of flavor and presentation.
Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re going for the ambiance, but if you’re looking for great food, you’ll find better elsewhere for less.
