There were lots of complaints about the service which sounded fair to be honest but they were great with us and turned the music up to let us sing and dance. They let the children play with the balloons and let me take the lolly’s home lol. Cheers guys for my lovely Christmas curry your cheery attitudes and lovely service Well for us anyway
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype at all.
The food itself wasn’t very good and several items had already run out while we were there – including some of the dishes and even the cake. The service was also quite poor, and basic things like cutlery and napkins were missing. At times there wasn’t enough cutlery available for customers.
The restaurant looked nothing like what was shown on Instagram, which was really disappointing after seeing all the promotional posts.
Overall, it felt very unorganised and not the experience that was advertised. I really wanted to like it, but sadly it didn’t meet expectations. was really excited to visit Indish Bistro in Manchester after seeing it advertised on Instagram as a huge success with over 30 different dishes and salads served in beautiful round stainless-steel bowls.

No one checked on us for drinks or water for a long time, and when we finally received water, we had to wait even longer for glasses, which was frustrating. We also struggled to find basic essentials like knives, forks, napkins, or tissues. Eventually, we had to get up and find the cutlery ourselves at the front. At one point, there weren’t even fresh plates available, and the food station was half empty and messy. Tables were left dirty for a long time without being cleared, adding to the overall disorganized atmosphere.
When we asked for cake, we were told it had run out. However, moments later, after realizing which table we were sitting at, they suddenly brought some out and served it to us, which felt disappointing for a buffet-style restaurant. The food options were very limited, with most dishes being cold, only one type of rice available, and overall minimal variety. It seemed like they were only making food if they noticed new guests arriving, rather than maintaining a properly stocked buffet.
The service was extremely poor, and unfortunately, this is not a place we would visit again. We came to celebrate our sister’s 21st birthday but left feeling hungry, as there was not enough food, and it didn’t match the expectations set by their online promotions. The only positive experience was one staff member who kindly offered us complimentary lamb chops, even though they weren’t part of the buffet menu his kindness was appreciated.
Additionally, the hygiene standards were lacking. There were no tissues or any essentials in the men’s toilet, which was unacceptable.
When we left, no one came over to acknowledge our dissatisfaction or even thank us for visiting, except for the lady at the bar who said goodbye. Overall, we were highly unsatisfied, and we won’t be returning. The Ramadan buffet was far from what we expected.
Whilst, the restaurant decor is quite nice, the general atmosphere was poor. The background music was soft rock and where I feel it should have been instead more cultural. Also, the poor atmosphere isn’t helped by the very poor customer service. Lack of engagement from staff and little interest all round which is a shame, as the food was excellent.
We don’t envisage returning soon. It needs staff with some sparkle, personality and enthusiasm to mirror the food being cooked and served.
We had a great meal here! The ambiance was lovely, and the owner was incredibly polite and helpful, which made us feel welcome right away.
The food was delicious across the board. For starters, we had the onion bhaji and the dynamite chicken—both were excellent. For our mains, we ordered the chicken steak and the butter chicken, and everything was cooked perfectly.
Overall, a really nice experience with great service. Highly recommended!
Super recommend option for everybody.
You won’t regret my guarantee ❤️
Nice atmosphere.
The music was slightly louder than I would have preferred. The only improvement I would say is that they should bring the nan/roti/rice at the time they bring the curry dish. Our Nan got cold as the dish came about 5 minutes after the rest of the items.
The staff are so friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the non alcoholic beer and wine.
The menu is confusing and at first we panicked there wasn’t any curries as it isn’t prominent on the menu. However we had the 1kg karahi to share between 3 then a panner desi handi and it was all so good.
Can’t wait to come back.
