What a fun little place with a very nice menu. Different plates that you can’t get just get anywhere. Each dish has such unique flavors and spices. For an appetizer we had the nachos and for dinner we had the pecan crusted fish and the Bahamian chicken curry, and both were delicious. For dessert, we had that peach poundcake, and it was out of this world.

My wife and I had heard good things about Indigo Shanty so we decided to check it out for lunch. Mikel greeted us and cordially seated us on their quaint back deck, dominated by a massive sprawling live oak! Our server Maddie took great care of us. I ordered the Point Loma Fish Sandwich blackened and the wife had the Pac-Rim Noodle Bowl. Honestly, this is one of THE best fish (Mahi) sandwiches I’ve ever had. Their tartar sauce has some extra zing and the side of slaw was surprisingly delicious! My wife also loved the noodles, which she ordered sans protein this time.
Prices were in line and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend Indigo Shanty if you’re looking for something a little different, a taste of the islands!

My husband had the meatloaf which he loved. I had the Charleston Saute. Creamy delicious grits covered with a lovely sauce, tender sweet shrimp and wow the okra were one of the best fried okra ever consumed. Georgia Peach Pound Cake was the perfect dessert and want our executive chef son to replicate. Bravo Indigo!

We got the chile relleno, fisherman’s bowl, and the pac rim salad. They were all very yummy and blew us away with the flavors. Very filling meals and awesome wait staff. Multiple staff came to check that we enjoyed the meal. The environment of the restaurant is very cheery too, don’t get fooled by the parking lot. Forgot to take photos because the food looked so good we dug in right away. Pictured is chocolate bread pudding for dessert. We’ll be back!

Everything was wonderful from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and felt immediately welcomed. We sat inside, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Our food arrived quickly and was beautifully plated. We started with the fried green tomatoes—a lovely beginning to our meal. For our mains, we had the jerk salmon and the Raj Burger, and both were a 10/10 with incredible flavors. They also perfected the medium rare we requested for the burger. Our server, Peyton, was knowledgeable, kind, and truly made the experience even better.

Really a fantastic find. Got the Bahamian curry and it was absolutely wonderful. Also treated myself to a side of their sweet potato fries, and they are probably the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. Excellent value for the money. I will definitely return next time I’m in town.

Honestly this place is such a good find! Our two pups were welcome on the patio and absolutely wolfed down their chicken and rice (probably thought they were in heaven tbh). The jerked sweet potato and shrimp special was amazing and we split it to leave space for that phenomenal Georgia peach pound cake. Staff were all terrific – true southern hospitality ❤️

I came here with my mom and Aunt. The staff were INCREDIBLY friendly and attentive. The food though was AMAZING. We had the chicken salad sandwich, which was curry forward, soooo good. We also got the chicken jersey noodle bowl. The chicken was excellent and everything about this dish was fresh. We did get a side of okra and that was amazing. We finished our meal with a slice of the pumpkin cheesecake, that we shared, so light and delicious.

Had the Charleston Saute’. This dish is phenomenal. I’m from the Midwest and don’t eat peppers but this dish was so good I even ate the peppers. The sauce was very unique. We will definitely be going back whenever we are in the area. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Given that Brunswick GA is not exactly a food Mecca finding a place like Indigo Shanty is a pleasant surprise. Passionate owner and staff who serve Caribbean influenced dishes. Although the decor is basic, the food is far from it. Sangria was made with fresh peaches. Mahi sandwich was delicious. Our meal’s cost was also very reasonable.
