When people come to Indigo, we want them to experience what is possible with southern food and how special and unique our cuisine is in the south. There are some rules about what can go on the plate- if it doesn’t come from the south, it’s not coming through the door.

Our friends recommended we try Indigo! What a lovely experience from our greeting at the door to our spacious and peaceful heated patio table. We were worried it might be too chilly outside, but the heating from the ceiling and beside the tables kept us very comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary pimento cheese appetizer and bread. There were several menu items that buried in price – from à la carte, salads, sides, and chicken, lamb, beef, seafood, and vegetarian options. My husband ordered the salmon and the I ordered the Caesar salad and filet. The food was presented beautifully (see pictures). Our server, Jenna, was friendly and timely. She answered our questions, made sure we were cared for, did not rush us, and our food was to perfection! After wine and beer and a full meal, we unfortunately did not have room for dessert! The prices were very fair and comparable to nicer restaurants. As our pre-Valentines dinner out, we were very pleased and impressed! Indigo is now our favorite restaurant!

From its former days of Le Clos Indigo has come a long way with making the atmosphere more friendly and approachable. Both service and food were phenomenal! I had the grouper on top of some of the best collards I have ever had.

We had a great meal here the other night. We chose to sit outside under the covered patio which was great because the indoor dining area was little noisy. They brought out complimentary bread and an amuse-bouche to start. We ordered the Bone Marrow and Escargot as our appetizer, which was very tasty. I actually prefer this version over the Escargot option at David’s. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and selected some wines to complement our meals. For the entree I ordered the Faroe Island Salmon and my partner ordered the Georges Bank Sea Scallops. He said they were some of the best scallops he’s ever had. We finished off the night by ordering the Chocolate Bomb for dessert which was also delicious. It was light and rich, and it came drizzled with a raspberry sauce that really enhanced the flavors overall (I’m a sucker for raspberry). We will definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Stellar Culinary Experience at Indigo!
Indigo absolutely wowed us with their $48 Prix Fixe Special — a perfectly curated dining experience that combines elegance, flavor, and value in the most delightful way.
The ambiance at Indigo was upscale yet relaxed, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. I appreciate that the prix fixe included a wine pairing — such a thoughtful touch. We made reservations so there was no wait-we sat outside on the covered patio which was lovely and not too hot (though it was 8pm). They do have a small and quaint indoor seating area.
The food at Indigo was absolutely incredible! Every course on the prix fixe menu was delicious! We can’t wait to go back and try the regular menu dishes.
Highly recommend this restaurant for a date night, special occasion, or simply treating yourself. Indigo has truly mastered the art of fine dining without the pretension.

We visited Indigo to try their Prix Fix menu. A 5 course dinner for $70 per person, including a glass of sparkling wine upon arrival and two glasses of wine with dinner. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service was spot on. We started with an amuse-bouche which consisted of a small ball of fried goat cheese in a tomato-based sauce. A very tasty start, followed by the first course of fresh salads. The second course included a sea scallop appetizer with mushroom risotto, followed by a crab-crusted flounder, fish course and then a wonderful Steak au Poivre with a red wine, mushroom sauce which was cooked perfectly. The final course was dessert. We tried both. A Bananas Foster butter cake with butter pecan ice cream and a Gaetau Au Chocolate (a dense chocolate cake) Both again, delcious. Everything was fantastic and you can’t beat the price for both the quality and the amount of food. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had dinner here a few days ago. Service was very good buy food quality was mixed. We started with the crabcake appetizer which was very good. We both had the duck breast for our entree. The server asked how we wanted it cooked and I requested rare to medium rare. Just a quick sear on both sides. But, when they came out both were well done. Not even a hint of pink. The server did offer to make new ones but we hate wasting food so made the best of it. A bit disappointing overall.

Our experience at Indigo was mixed and, unfortunately, the seating issue set the tone for the entire evening. The dining room is very small, and we were squeezed into an extremely tight two-top where my Hubby barely had room to sit comfortably. While there were four-top tables available, we were told we could not be seated at one, which was frustrating and unnecessary given the space constraints.
As for the food, I ordered the duck and truly enjoyed it—it was flavorful and well prepared. My Hubby had the lamb chops and felt they were just okay, nothing particularly memorable.
While the cuisine showed promise, the cramped seating and lack of flexibility from the staff detracted significantly from the overall experience. Comfort matters when you’re dining out, and in this case, it made it hard to fully enjoy the evening.

Local friends set up dinner reservations here when we were in the area. They nor us had been here before. It’s obvious this is a place to dine not eat and we looked forward to catching up over a good meal.
The restaurant is situated in an updated single family house in downtown. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and seated in the alcove dining area. Seating was comfortable but table spacing was a bit close and the noise level just a little loud during dinner with all tables occupied. Overall the interior is fairly non de script with not much character. Table linens and glassware were nice.
We ordered glasses of wine to start from a fairly decent list of beverages. The menu on the other hand was limited between both appetizers and entrees. Could be due to the kitchen size or keeping the menu manageable.
For starters we ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese and the Escargot with Bone Marrow to share. The lobster M&C had a great flavor with a little while lobster tail. Would have nice to have a bit more M&C to share. The escargot was cooked and served on top of a split in half bone of exposed marrow and some toasted bread slices. Really nice flavor with the escargot and marrow. However no juices to dip the escargot in.
For main I had the sea bass special. Nice presentation on the dish with a nicely browned sea bass filet. Unfortunately the red potato it was on was warmer than the fish. The green sauce made for a nice flavor with the fish along with the asparagus spears.
My partner got the crab cake appetizer for a dinner. The crabcakes were a mix of lump and shredded crab meat and had good flavor.
The other couple that was with us got the seared scallops and the flounder. Both came out with nice presentation. The scallops were lightly brown and looked absolutely delicious. They finished their entrées.
For dessert, we split the banana pudding cheesecake four ways. It was an interesting dessert. It was basically banana pudding on what appeared to be a banana bread like crust. It was tasty.
Our server was Caitlyn and she did a great job. She was attentive, knowledgeable, kept checking up on us and was not overbearing. We were never rushed during our meal.

Absolutely love Indigo!! Chet and his staff are wonderful. Our first experience at Indigo was so delicious. Every item on the menu is elevated and above and beyond the typical meal on the island. We loved Indigo so much we ended up choosing and booking it for our wedding rehearsal dinner. The best decision we could’ve made. Chet and his staff (we love Caroline and Jordan) made it the most perfect night. The food was amazing and the environment was next level. If you’re looking for a date night spot, a large dinner group spot, or an event space, Indigo is the place for you!!
