India’s Restaurant in Shreveport, LA is definitely one of the best spots for Indian food in the area! The food was flavorful, fresh, and well-presented. You can tell the chefs put real effort into maintaining authentic taste and variety. The spice level was just right, and every dish felt freshly prepared.
I also loved the bar section — it has a great vibe, relaxing ambiance, and good drink options. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. What’s really unique is that they also have a small Indian grocery store attached, which is super convenient for picking up essentials or snacks after dining.
The hospitality was warm and welcoming — staff were attentive and polite. The service was a bit slow at times, but the friendly atmosphere and food made up for it.
Overall, it’s a lovely place to enjoy a good meal, unwind, and experience authentic Indian flavors. I’d definitely visit again and recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a nice evening out in Shreveport!
Atmosphere is lacking, but food makes up for it.
Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the buffet makes it easy to sample all your favorites. If I could eat here every day without gaining 100 pounds, I absolutely would. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Indian food or wants an amazing lunch option in Shreveport.
The building itself is just ok. The atmosphere is not great. It’s kinda just a bunch of pieces thrown together.
The lunch buffet had a great selection. I was very impressed with the selection of foods and found many that I haven’t seen at other buffets. The food itself I thought was good but fell short of being great.
To answer the nagging question, “Would I go back?” I definitely would. I loved the variety of options on the buffet.
Update: Went back today and was noticing how this place tends to like spicy food putting jalapenos in several dishes. Chicken Tikki Masala is still my favorite here though.
It didn’t matter though because what I had already was extremely satisfying. My daughter is vegan and she said she was able to find a number of options that worked for her. The service was quick and attentive. We promptly received refills on drinks which was helpful. Overall I can’t say enough and I will be back as soon as I can.
Thank you

UPDATE Visited again during happy hour. Nice selection of drinks. The host suggested goat curry and we loved it. The sauce is more of a brown gravy which I found delightfully delicate, while the lamb vindaloo was more tangy as a tomato-based sauce. Both were delicious.
