India’s Restaurant in Shreveport, LA is definitely one of the best spots for Indian food in the area! The food was flavorful, fresh, and well-presented. You can tell the chefs put real effort into maintaining authentic taste and variety. The spice level was just right, and every dish felt freshly prepared.

I also loved the bar section — it has a great vibe, relaxing ambiance, and good drink options. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. What’s really unique is that they also have a small Indian grocery store attached, which is super convenient for picking up essentials or snacks after dining.

The hospitality was warm and welcoming — staff were attentive and polite. The service was a bit slow at times, but the friendly atmosphere and food made up for it.

Overall, it’s a lovely place to enjoy a good meal, unwind, and experience authentic Indian flavors. I’d definitely visit again and recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a nice evening out in Shreveport!

Not very many buffets worth raving about but this one was by far a treat! Had a taste of almost everything on the buffet around lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how good it all was. Definitely will be visiting again!
Atmosphere is lacking, but food makes up for it.

India’s Restaurant in Shreveport is absolutely fantastic. The lunch buffet is one of the best in town, with a great variety and consistently delicious food. The chicken tikka masala is truly outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It’s the kind of dish you keep going back for.

Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the buffet makes it easy to sample all your favorites. If I could eat here every day without gaining 100 pounds, I absolutely would. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Indian food or wants an amazing lunch option in Shreveport.

Great value for money ! 14.99 for a lunch buffet for the variety they have is great. The restaurant does feel a bit run down but the food is decent. The buffet had some dishes that are good, some are mediocre and a bit too salty, the mango lassi was great. Loved the fact that all entrees were mostly chicken and suprised to find maggie at a buffet lol. Definitely recommend trying just for the price and the lassi!

That Indian food slaps!!! The butter naans dipped in the rice and creamy chicken curry was EXCELLENT. Do not let the outside fool you, it’s Shreveport so the parking lot is rigid and the building was most definitely reused. But once you step inside you are gonna feel like a part of their family. Love this place. Also it has a lunch buffet so you can sample all the curry’s

This restaurant is fantastic! Our server suggested great recommendations and was very friendly. We had goat curry and lamb curry and both were delicious. The goat was cooked perfectly and the Mango Lassi and garlic naan were delicious!

I tried this place for the first time recently. For whatever reason I hadn’t sought out any Indian food since we moved to the area in 2020.

The building itself is just ok. The atmosphere is not great. It’s kinda just a bunch of pieces thrown together.

The lunch buffet had a great selection. I was very impressed with the selection of foods and found many that I haven’t seen at other buffets. The food itself I thought was good but fell short of being great.

To answer the nagging question, “Would I go back?” I definitely would. I loved the variety of options on the buffet.

Update: Went back today and was noticing how this place tends to like spicy food putting jalapenos in several dishes. Chicken Tikki Masala is still my favorite here though.

This was a phenomenal meal we just had there at the buffet. The buffet was extremely impressive, I got through two whole times of going up and back and I went up a third time for dessert only to find there was a whole other section of food I hadn’t even seen, but it was too late, I was already full.

It didn’t matter though because what I had already was extremely satisfying. My daughter is vegan and she said she was able to find a number of options that worked for her. The service was quick and attentive. We promptly received refills on drinks which was helpful. Overall I can’t say enough and I will be back as soon as I can.

Thank you

I like the new location – it is more spacious. I went with a group. Some had lamb kabobs, some had kurma. One ordered her kurma medium spicy and another mild. Both thought their food was hot. I ordered a fried shrimp appetizer, shrimp vindaloo and garlic naan. All my food was delicious. My vindaloo was not too spicy. I actually borrowed some of the sliced jalapeños from my friend’s kurma. The rice was a little plain. The sweet tea had good flavor though. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I look forward to going back and trying more items on the menu!

UPDATE Visited again during happy hour. Nice selection of drinks. The host suggested goat curry and we loved it. The sauce is more of a brown gravy which I found delightfully delicate, while the lamb vindaloo was more tangy as a tomato-based sauce. Both were delicious.

I had never had Indian food before and didn’t know that they offered a “mild” version. A friend and I shared the “dinner for one” meal because we wanted to try different things. Everything was delicious but my favorite is the Naan (a kind of bread for dipping). Simply amazing
