no body is doing it how india’s kitchen is doing it i get their butter chicken every time i’m sick. it cures me immediately. i’ve tried every indian restaurant in the greater baton rouge area and they truly have the best food. and the biggest possible portions. idk how they FIT this much food in these containers. i’ll always come back.

The weekend lunch buffet is ridiculously overpriced. Paying $25 per person is simply unjustifiable for what’s offered.

Key buffet items like naan and veg biryani were not refilled quickly, which defeats the whole point of a buffet. Most of the food was below average to outright bad, lacking freshness and flavor. The only decent dish was the mushroom paneer curry—everything else was disappointing.

For this price point, I expected better variety, consistent refills, and much higher food quality. Unfortunately, this was a poor experience and not worth the cost.

Given the price and overall experience, I will not return and cannot recommend India’s Restaurant to others.

I love eating here. Not sure why people are complaining about the price. Go to any other state and see what it cost you. Food is tasty. Highly recommend.

First time experiencing Indian food, and I have to say it was amazing! Especially the lamb! The naan was delicious! The chai tea and even the lemonade was homemade and so good! I also have to mention the family that owns the restaurant was so sweet and accommodating. We will stop again if we’re ever in the area.

I was looking for a restaurant around this area while on my way to Houston from alabama and i stopped by here.
The owner is the chef of this restaurant.
The whole family will welcome you.

Good quality, authentic taste.

Mr Uma takes care of us that’s why I am generous on my reviews – take out was a cup food ( few pieces of chicken meat ( not expensive ) and 2 ladles of gravy for $ 20.00 we spend 85.00 for 3 take outs and did not feed three people – I am disgusted eating out and spending time effort for these food – there are now 5 Indian restaurants and have chalked out Bay leaf and India for sure – Tandoori chicken was chicken wings in scanty qty
Terrible ! When we spend money including tips and CC charges we need a good generous food that can feed us right

I somehow like the ambiance of this place although not many mention that in the comments. It’s spacious and bright. The walls have many paintings of Mughal era India. The decor is simple and not overdone as at many Indian places.

The buffet was not available during Covid times. The Poori was crisp, the naan freshly baked, and the Gulab Jamun perfect. The staff was friendly and accommodated us around their lunch break.
