An absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality made us feel at home. The food was outstanding — rich, authentic flavors with perfectly balanced spices. Every dish was fresh, fragrant, and beautifully presented. The butter chicken was incredibly tender, the garlic naan was soft and freshly baked, and the biryani was bursting with flavor. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. If you’re looking for truly delicious Indian food made with care and passion, Indian Swad is a must-visit. Tonight, I went to pick up our takeout order here. There is a massive, ornately decorated dining area, with a huge buffet full of food. However, it’s 6:00 PM on a Friday and the restaurant was completely empty. This was the first red flag.
Next, let’s talk about the food:
The mutton vindaloo had very little meat, was riddled with many bones and contained no potatoes (vindaloo is supposed to have potatoes) and also tasted old/off.
The butter chicken we ordered was just 4 whole boneless chicken thighs in a butter curry sauce. It tasted odd as well.
The roti was flavorless and the butter naan we had was so dry it cracked in half when we remove it from the foil. Even the rice tasted stale.
Judging by the taste/texture, I would assume that they are serving food that has been sitting in the buffet for hours as takeout.
Just for clarification – we have eaten at Indian restaurants across Canada. This is not me being a gora and not liking the cuisine. We just didn’t have the best experience with the food quality here. The lady at the counter was nice and the restaurant’s decor is cool, but for food-safety reasons, we won’t be back.

I recently placed a large catering order from Indian Swaad for over 130 people, and I’m happy to say everything was simply outstanding. The food was delicious and flavorful, with more than enough to serve everyone generously.
Delivery was right on time, and the entire experience—from placing the order to the final delivery—was smooth and professional. The customer service was excellent, and communicating with Arvind was especially pleasant. He was helpful, responsive, and made sure every detail was taken care of.
Great quality, generous portions, and excellent value for the price. Highly recommend Indian Swaad for any event—big or small!

Indian Swaad offers an inviting atmosphere, but my recent experience was a mix of positives and negatives.
While the flavors were decent and the dishes seemed fresh, it didn’t quite match the authentic Indian taste I was expecting. There’s room for improvement in seasoning and presentation to elevate the dining experience.
Service: Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The receptionist was unwelcoming and displayed a dismissive attitude, which made us feel undervalued as customers. It seemed like our choice to use the Too Good To Go service was an issue, which is disappointing. Regardless of how a customer is dining, they should always be treated with respect and courtesy.
Atmosphere: The ambiance is where Indian Swaad excels. The decor and cleanliness are top-notch, creating a warm and relaxing environment that enhances the overall dining experience.
While the atmosphere is lovely, the food and service need improvement to create a more balanced experience. I hope the management addresses these concerns, as the restaurant has great potential.

Worst Restaurant in Windsor!!!
The Restaurant name Indian Swaad, would suggest to change it to BESWAAD!! and remove indian from the name.. As it not justified with food and quality of services!
Chicken was served undercooked – very unsafe to eat.
Naan/Roti were half-cooked/raw in the middle.
Halwa had a stale, unpleasant smell – clearly not fresh.
Even after complaining, the staff did not acknowledge the issues. Staff showed arrogant and rude behavior towards us.
Overall food quality and hygiene were very poor.
Definitely not worth the money and I would not recommend this place.

It was great ambience, service was quick and nice as it was just us as customers i guess, the taste was so bland, chicken acahari, Kadai Paneer not worth it, have to mention their quantity is way too less, you would see that in the pictures.
The gulabjamun was too good and freshly made.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a great experience, especially because of Arsh, who was working that day. The food was fresh, flavourful, and served quickly. The restaurant was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere, but what really stood out was Arsh’s service. He was polite, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect at our table. He checked on us often, brought our food with a smile, and answered all our questions with patience. Good service can make a meal even better, and Arsh truly did an amazing job. Because of him, I would definitely come back again.
