The best Indian food I’ve had so far! Everything we had was so tasty, you could tell how well the dishes were made. The cooking might be influenced by street-style, but the food and the restaurant itself is way nicer than that. The place feels very clean and cozy. While finding your way to the restaurant you have these beautiful sights that you cross, it’s especially nice during the dark hours. The food came in very fast. A really nice place to celebrate new year’s eve. They even had special menus for the occassion. The staff were also very polite. If they still have lamb on the menu when you dine here, I urge you to try it out!!

Super attentive staff! From the second you enter until you leave, the staff make sure you feel at home! Delicious and mouth watering food! It’s easy to eat too much because every bite invites the need to have more! The complimentary starter is such a lovely touch!, that really sets the tone for the explosive flavors! All dishes are tailored to your taste and flavor! The staff was quite present and attentive that we didn’t have to yell to have more water, drinks or order more food. They just would arrive exactly when needed – such a plus!! And also, the communication is an ease in English! I recommend for both couples and friends, and even solo travelers itching to have a modern taste of Indian Street food, with a luxurious touch! Recommended to make a reservation before hand on Thursday – Saturdays. A tip: opt for Chapati instead of Naan!!

We visited Indian Street Food & Co and honestly, it was excellent from start to finish. We tried a lot of different dishes, including a few tasting menus, and there genuinely wasn’t a single thing I wouldn’t recommend. Everything was full of flavor and very well executed.
We ordered the most expensive item on the menu (can’t remember the exact name), and it completely blew away our expectations – worth every cent. The tasting menus were especially good, and the service stood out as well. They even let us swap the dessert in the tasting menu for one that better fit our preferences, which was a really nice and thoughtful touch.
On top of that, we were allowed to sit with a really nice view overlooking the water, which made the whole experience even better.
If I have to make one comment at all, it’s that “Indian Street Food” feels like a slightly odd name for a place this refined and fancy – but that’s hardly a complaint.
5/5 stars. Amazing food, great service, great atmosphere, and a place I’d happily go back to without hesitation.

I have been here 4 times already and this restaurant is the mandatory stop on my business trips to Norway. And this is probably the best Indian restaurant in town.
We did make a reservation ahead, although there are many tables. I would really recommend it at least in rush hours.
Anyway food was awesome. I especially liked crispy cauliflower which was quite spicy, but delicious. And the “chana masala” – the chickpea meal is out of this world.
There are few vegan/gluten-free options in the menu which are worth to try. They offers free rice & water to each meal which can be refilled any time.
I am pretty sure, I will come back anytime I am in Oslo again.

Have been here a couple of times now and the food is amazing as usual, both the starters and the main. However the desserts were a bit disappointing. The rasmalai was very hard in itself and the top shell in creme brulee had a peculiar burnt taste of burnt pistachios and rose petals. Overall will definitely come back for the amazing Indian food.

I’m genuinely disappointed. I visited this restaurant before and really enjoyed their lamb sticks. That positive experience made me want to come back.
This time, we ordered dumplings, naan bread and lamb sticks. The dumplings and naan were both good, but the lamb sticks were a complete disaster. They were incredibly salty and drowned in way too many spices. I actually had to scrape some of the seasoning off just to make them edible. I managed to eat two before giving up- it was simply too much.
We spoke with the manager, who initially offered a discount after we explained the issue. However, when he noticed we had taken a picture to write a review, he changed his mind and made us pay the full price.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I’m writing this just to warn others, I definitely do not recommend this place anymore, which is sad because I truly liked it on my first visit.

Recently we were there for our anniversary celebration. The food was amazing like authentic Indian taste. In Oslo there are very few restaurants which actually satisfy my taste buds. Now this restaurant is in my list:) Nice atmosphere and very good service

Fantastic dining experience. Lovely seating with views over the waterfront. Free appetisers while we were ordering were amazing, smoking over dry ice. Fantastic menu, much of which is reasonable affordable by Oslo standards. A really special and memorable meal.

Food is tasty. The servers are super nice. Large indoor seating area and large patio during the summer. Carryout is also very quick.

We had a great dining experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was quick and courteous, and the ambience was warm and comfortable. It was especially wonderful to experience the authentic taste of Indian food in a Nordic area. Unlike many places where flavors are adjusted to suit local preferences, this restaurant did not compromise on traditional Indian taste, which made the experience truly special.
After dinner, we had a lovely conversation with Chef Seikh Ukil, who was incredibly kind. He took the time to explain the dishes, spoke with us in a South Indian language, and created a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. That personal touch made our visit even more memorable, and we were truly happy to be there.
