An exceptional dining experience from beginning to end. The restaurant offers a refined and comfortable atmosphere, and the taste of the food truly stands out from other Indian restaurants in Prague — based on my personal experience after visiting many of them.
The welcome and hospitality were excellent, and every dish we tasted was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the food so much that we finished almost everything and could barely walk afterwards! Special thanks to the chef and the kitchen team for such outstanding cooking.
A special thank you to Niki for his professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We would also like to thank his colleague, who was equally friendly and welcoming, even though we didn’t catch his name.
We are happy to share this wonderful place with our friends and will definitely return again.

I had very tasty Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter chicken here. It was on the lunch menu. Price is fair. Service decent. The only thing I would change – I had rice as a side dish and also I got sweet rice on milk as a dessert. If you already have the rice, it is better to put something else for dessert. At least according to Western chefs. Finally – I would return here if nearby. I like the experience.

I dined here with my husband and had a thoroughly delightful experience. The samosas, chicken biryani, garlic naan, and chicken madras were exquisitely prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was impeccable, the staff gracious and attentive, and the cozy ambiance added to the overall charm. We look forward to returning.

We like hot dishes and promptly ordered ‘spicy’ Chicken Marsala which – I should have known! – by Indian standards turned out to be far too hot for me. The host / waiter was understanding and greatly complying, though. He offered to change my meal to a less spicy one without hesitation. My husband bravely put up with the super spicy version and in the end we had a very nice dinner. The restaurant is a bit out of the way within New Town and propably therefore less frequented than what it deserves. We higly recommend to pay a visit! And to all the brave ones – order spicy chicken Marsala! ;))

We ate at taaj palace on our last day in Prague, just before heading back to India Firstly, because of its proximity to the main train station, and secondly, because after the hearty Czech home cooking, we were craving something different. The food was delicious, quick to prepare, and the service was extremely polite and attentive. I especially loved the garlic naan and Lamb Rogan Josh. On our next visit to Prague, I definitely want to come back and enjoy the hospitality and excellent cuisine at taaj palace again. Thank you so much, and see you soon! Namaste

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Authentic Indian Taste – Finally a Real One!
If you’re looking for real Indian food that actually tastes like what you get in India, this is the place! The flavours, spices, and aroma are absolutely authentic — not the usual “European-style Indian” dishes you find everywhere.
Unlike other so-called Indian restaurants like Five Rivers, where it’s all about ambience and fancy presentation but no real taste or warmth, this restaurant truly delivers on food quality and genuine hospitality.
You can tell the people here care about what they serve. Every bite reminds me of home. Finally, a place that can’t fool Indians — only impress them! Highly recommended.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Karlovo namesti region. The staff is really friendly and the food was excellent. I had mix thali, which is an all you can eat option, that incorporates mix of the daily menu options and the sauces were moderately spicy and flavourful, which is exactly what you would expect from an Indian restaurant.
The only thing that was slightly off for me were the naans, most of them were good, but some were a bit dry and harder to bite from, but that’s only my preference.

Very good restaurant with delicious naan. You can get all you can eat (with service) on weekdays. They had no problem seating a group of 8, so that’s very nice. Appreciate the ISIC discount.
