We ordered 1 lunch special and split it. The lunch special was 1 curry, 1 Nan or Roti bread, salad, dessert, and tea for 1 price. We had the Kadahi Murg (medium spice) with rice, garlic Nan, green salad, Vegetable Pakora, an unknown dessert, and hot masala tea. Everything was excellent except the dessert. The Kadahi Murg was perfectly spiced, lots of sauce; the rice was perfectly cooked; the Nan was good and hot; the Vegetable Pakora was fair (the grease tasted a little old); the salad was a small, small amount diced cucumber, tomato, and onions (very good); the masala tea was strong and hot. The dessert was weird, not like any Indian dessert I’ve ever had. My husband thought it was just sour cream with something in it. It came on a large tray as seen in the picture. The portion size was generous because we were both full after sharing. The service was good and friendly. The bathroom was clean. This was just a hole in the wall next to a gas station, but so good. We’d definitely go back if we lived in the area. We highly recommend it.

My dad and I ordered lamb curry and veggie appetizers. It was sooooo yummy! Lovely decor, Comfortable, and nice service. I love this family owned business. Don’t be discouraged when you see that it’s beside the gas station. It’s very lovely inside the restaurant.

Really shocking to eat such high quality Indian food in so remote an area. I’ve eaten here twice–once as dine-in as a couple, and once as take-out for a large group of twenty people. Both times the food was hot, fresh, delicious, and of very high quality. The butter chicken, saag paneer, and lamb rogan josh were also all very distinct from eachother flavor-wise, which isn’t always the case at side-of-the-road restaurants. The garlic naan was some of the best I’ve had in a long time too. Full send.
The Medium heat was very nice, about as spicy as a Buffalo wing. The Spicy heat level wasn’t assaultive, but spicier than a Buffalo wing.
Also note, the curries come with a side of rice, so no need to order extra.

Definitely not bad for a wayside Indian Restaurant attached to a connivence store. I tried the Lamb Kabob and Garlic Naan which both were very flavorful and spicy like I asked it to be. The Kabob was hard to eat though because all they provide is a butter knife and the hunks of meat were too big to eat in one bite. The Naan was perfect until I got to the last piece which should not have been served as it was overcooked to where there was no bread left inside and it just crumbled when you touched it. I do not recommend using the bathroom here as there are definitely plumbing issues because it stinks bad like sewer. All that being said I would stop in again because of the delish flavors!

The Butter Chicken was a wonderful surprise with more complex and interesting spices than most other Indian restaurants. The garlic naan was thin enough that the garlic flavour didn’t get lost in too much dough.
I wish I lived close enough to go here often!

The outside of this restaurant may appear unassuming, but once you step inside, you will be greeted by the most amazing smell and the kindest staff. Service and atmosphere are both excellent. I wish I could give the food more than 5 stars. It was so delicious, I was sad I wasn’t hungry enough to order more. We had samosas, which may be the best I’ve ever had, Shahi Paneer, and Coconut Chicken. All delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yes, this Indian restaurant is attached to a Marathon gas station. But don’t let that put you off! This is a great hidden gem with quality Indian staples. Appetizers were tasty and main courses came out relatively fast. The dining room is smaller. I don’t really care for the Indian offerings in Lynchburg or Farmville, so this was a nice way to get my fix!

We just happened to be driving by in the area and stopped here for some lunch.
Amazing little place!
Nice ambiance, bright, happy, clean, and friendly.
The food was delicious – we had samosa, garlic cheese naan, indian tea, and Kadahi Murg. Every bite was perfection, so yes, we will most certainly return here – one of the better indian restaurants we’ve dined at!

# Awesome Indian Food Alert: Highway 29’s New Little Secret
You’ve got to check this out! There’s this amazing new Indian place that just popped up on Highway 29 South last year. I know, I know – it’s attached to an old gas station, but trust me, these hidden spots are where the real magic happens.
So, the mastermind behind the wonderful food is Biswajig – he’s both the chef and manager, and let me tell you, he knows his stuff. I always test out a new Indian place with my usual order: Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. Spoiler alert: it was fantastic!
The Tikka Masala? Oh man, the chicken was so super tender and seared perfectly. I asked for it spicy, and they nailed it. It had that perfect kick that lets you know it’s there but doesn’t blow your head off, you know? All the other spices still got to shine too.
Now, let’s talk about that Garlic Naan. Freshly made in-house and cooked in a legit Tandoor oven – you can taste the difference! It’s awesome to see they’re not cutting corners and are keeping things traditional.
I’m telling you, this place is a total gem. It’s officially on my must-stop list whenever I’m cruising down Highway 29. Can’t wait to go back and try more stuff on their menu.
If you’re into amazing indian food and discovering cool new places, do yourself a favor and check this one out. It’s exactly the kind of spot that reminds you there’s so much great food and culture out there just waiting to be found!
