Loved my experience. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff makes you feel right at home. The food is incredible, with a wide range of flavourful dishes that cater to all tastes.

I especially loved the butter chicken – it was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. Every dish is clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients.

If you’re looking for a consistently great Indian meal in a welcoming setting, this is the place to go. Highly recommended for a special night out or a casual dinner!

I visited the Indian Ocean last night with my grown up son, it’s been around 13 years since I was last there, having left the area, although I didn’t move too far away. I’d been coming here for around 12 years until I moved away. I used to frequent the Indian Ocean regularly and always loved the food, company and the cosy atmosphere. Sometime I’d come on my own, or with my then 8 year old son or a friend, the food was always consistently top notch.

Last night we had Popadoms, Seekh Kebab and Chicken Tikka starters, a Chicken Dansak, Lamb Madras, Kema Nan and Rice. The food was rich and tasty, the meat, succulent and juicy, and if you want a hot and spicy dish, that’s what you get, no half measures or lame spiciness, hot is hot. The Madras was a dark rich sauce which looked as hot as it tasted and as a Madras should be The Dansak was sweet and sour with a good level of heat and flavour, this is one of my favourite dishes and it didn’t disappoint.

I don’t want to bang on about other Indian restaurants, but from my own personal experience, I have found over the years, the standard seems to have dropped dramatically, I have searched high and low for excellent Indian food in the Milton Keynes and surrounding areas but disappointingly found only average and on the rare occasion maybe ‘good’, but then you return and it’s not so good.
However, I am pleased to report, this is not the case here, it was a nostalgic visit and a blast from my past, remembering that period in my life, the good times, some highs and lows, over some great food and conversation, a reminder that some things change over time but 13 years later the food here is still as good as I remember it.

It was amazing catching up with Raj, the owner after all these years, time flies but great memories remain. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I highly recommend the Indian Ocean, and it can only be 5 stars!

Indian Ocean is our favourite restaurant for a curry in Leighton Buzzard. Service is polite and friendly and the food is always fantastic, they are always willing to recommend flavours and adjust dishes to your palette. Dishes as always served hot and promptly. Always a pleasure to dine here.

After hearing many fantastic reviews from our friends about this Indian restaurant, we thought tonight we would finally sample their takeaway service. We were over the moon with all the food, each dish was INCREDIBLE, 5 stars all around. The service we received from Raj was first class as well, very prompt delivery & fantastic price for everything we ordered. By far the best Indian takeaway we’ve ever had, thank you Raj, we are already looking forward to sampling more of your fantastic food in the future. Best wishes, Adam & Michelle (Tot & Jane’s friends). X

Another amazing takeaway from Indian Ocean last night. Always cooked fresh and piping hot when it arrives, never greasy and always full of flavour. Excellent.

We started coming here after my Father in Law brought us, only a few months ago and fell in love with the fantastic food, lovely owner and equally lovely Daughter who is there a couple/few nights a week.
It’s not a huge place but big enough for our group of 10 that visit, with others dining at the same time.
We find the food is spot on every time and always leave nursing our “food babies”! (Ie full tummies).
Some of the reviews on here mention small portions? Not sure where they usually eat but I am a confirmed foodie that loves a decent sized plate of food and have not been disappointed with any of my meals.
As for rude staff, again, not sure what they are used to but I despise rudeness and bad manners and have always been treated by the people there in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
If you want a decent Indian meal, this should be top of your list.
Oh and ask what they recommend from the menu – I did and I discovered a couple of meals I’d never heard of but are nothing short of spectacular.

Ordered takeaway twice. Both time was very tasty, food was still hot and arrived at a reasonable time. Good portions as well. We will definitely order again.

Unfortunately it was fifty fifty for us – the curries were very delicious but it was let down by having really uncooked and greasy onion bhajis (clumps of raw floury mixture in them) and the sides were very bland. It seemed very expensive compared to other places – especially the £5 rice. Always love when the take aways that charge restaurant prices at least throw in free poppadoms and dips to make up for it – obviously not expected but so so appreciated but not such luck here so do order poppadoms if you want them!
