Had the most delicious lunch at Indian Meal Box today. My spouse suggested the place to me as we were missing the brown rice meals we had on our vacation to Kerala. The raw mango chutney and mushroom stir fry was an absolute hit. The chicken curry was so homey and had very little oil compared to the curries we get in the Bay Area. It was great reminder on how much we enjoyed the people and food in Kerala.

Quick service, good packaging, hygienic.
Cons: It’d be great if the spice levels were adjustable. Default spice level is a mild flavor.
Side note: It might be a bit confusing when you pull into the property for pick-up, since there is no mention of the eatery anywhere outside(and it looks like an industrial area instead).
But rest assured, you’re at the right location as long as you map the address correctly – Simply walk inside to the locker area and you’ll be fine.

I’m surprised folks have give 4.3 stars. I tried the full non veg meal with fish and beef. Both were really below par. I was very happy to see kerala food and wanted to see some home food nothing fancy. but this one was pretty bland, and quantity is very less for the money that you pay close to 20 $ for which you would get a buffet. They give in a very small box and quantity is less as well. I would have adjusted if atleast the taste was good. Everything was below par. Only thing that was good was the omlette. Please stay far away from this restaurant. I will never recommend this to anyone.
Update 1/23 – Response to the owner – Well, Everyone should check the doordash reviews too from others who have tried. You still do not want to change looks like, Reviews are supposed to help owners correct themselves and regain confidence of customers. Good luck!

Noticed that IMB has Thalassery chicken biryani on their DD menu as Today’s special. Ordered it with a little bit of trepidation (so far haven’t come across a decent Thalassery biriyani here in the Bay) but we didn’t need to be worried. Was flavorful and yum! Hope to order it again!

Loved Indian Meal box’s Kerala “naadan” style food (bakshanam ). The packaging is a major plus too as it helps with portion control – only issue being you end up wanting more!

As a Telangana native, the Indian Meal Box pleasantly surprised me with its delightful offerings. Despite serving it with white rice, the egg curry’s incredible flavor won me over completely! A delicious experience that left me craving for more!

Ordered the thalaserry chicken biryani from the Indian Meal Box and I have to say it took me back to kerala. I have also tried their egg puffs (from bread Bae Chayakada.. Run by the same owner) which is also great!
If you want to try a different kind of Indian food(food from the state of Kerala,India) please do give them a try and you won’t be disappointed. They are a take out only operatio run from a cloud kitchen

Tasteless overpriced food. Sad that I have to write this review here. We were super excited to support a new mallu owned business.
The beef non-veg thali was pathetic. The beef “curry” was just some plain water and saltless chewy beef pieces. Thorans were okay. Both thorans were sweet btw, and the achar too. Did not understand if this was a Kerala meal or Gujarati meal.
The fish thali had no curry, it was just some fish thoran. Tasted average too.
All in all really upset and disappointed in this place! Had really high hopes.
Only highlight was the $5 fish fry.
Spent $45 for 2 non-veg meals and 1 fish fry. You can order only through doordash btw.

This place is absolutely amazing! It’s easily some of the best Malayali food I’ve had outside of Kerala. Very flavorful and authentic which is very hard to find especially for Malayali food. The food was a straight 10/10 and I’d recommend it to anybody. It’s also a steal because you pay so little for such awesome food. I’ll definitely be visiting this place more often and can’t wait to have Aleena’s food again!

Got the non veg meal. Rice was cold and was not enough for 1 person. Beef curry had more fat and less meat. Papadam was undercooked. But the taste off all items in the meal was good.
