My family and I had dinner at Indian Lounge a week ago. But the taste of their food still lingers in my tastebuds. We had scrumptious selections of authentic Indian foods such as chicken biryani, butter chicken curry (my son’s favorite), tikka masala (my 5yo daughter loved it! Perfect for kids!) garlic cheese naan, pankora and some side dishes. Everything was so perfect to fill up our stomach during a cold winter evening after ice skating.. and to top up the dining experience, the hospitality of the owners was everything. They welcomed us as we were part of the family, which meant a lot to us and made the dinner so special and the chocolate treats was so lovely 🙂 So whoever comes to dine in, you are in the perfect place 😉 Will definitely come back when we are in Edinburgh..

Had our dinner at Indian Lounge and let me tell you, it was amazing! From the first moment we felt welcome, the service was excellent and really quick and the food was so good, one of the best places for Indian food we have tried in Scotland. My husband enjoyed his Tandoori mix, and my Korma was exceptional! The starters were great too! Definitely coming back and greetings from Jolita and her family from Dundee.

We first visited Indian Lounge three years ago when we had just started dating, and ever since that visit we’ve said it was one of the nicest Indian meals we’d ever had. We’ve enjoyed some fantastic Indian food elsewhere since then, but nothing has ever quite topped Indian Lounge.
Fast forward three years and we’re now married, so when we found ourselves in Edinburgh on New Year’s Eve celebrating Hogmanay, there was absolutely no question that we had to return. We made a point of booking, and we are so glad we did; it did not disappoint in the slightest.
The food was every bit as incredible as we remembered: beautifully presented, bursting with flavour, and perfectly spiced. Absolutely gorgeous from start to finish. The service was just as memorable; attentive without being intrusive, and we had great banter with one of the staff who was genuinely funny, friendly, and welcoming. Exactly the kind of hospitality that makes an experience special.
Food and drinks were served promptly, even though the restaurant was busy, and the atmosphere was warm, cosy, and inviting. It had a lovely buzz without ever feeling overwhelming – a true testament to what a little gem this place is in the heart of the city.
We will 100% be back again. Thank you so much to the whole team for such wonderful food and hospitality – it made our Hogmanay trip even more special.
