They also provided a small cup of hot sauce with fantastic flavor—it was very spicy but allowed us to customize the spiciness level to our preference. Without the hot sauce, the dish wasn’t spicy at all, making it accessible to anyone regardless of their spice tolerance.
This place is a great option for both Indian food lovers and first-timers. Highly recommend giving them a try!
Portions – 4 oz chicken, cup and a half of rice, one piece of naan and a mongo lassi for that $25-$30
Short review – Cold and expensive. Potential. As is, don’t bother.
Detailed review
Due to them not being able to cook in this place, it’s all cooked before hand, and kept in warmers. Ends up being awful.
The flavor of the butter chicken and naan was some of the best I’ve had, but the naan was very rubbery and chewy because it wasn’t fresh. The chicken and sauce was all cold. The rice seemed like it was cooked days before and reheated. Plus it was all good as well.
Their mango lassi is NOT what you usually get if you eat at a lot of Indian places. Usually it’s more like a smoothie. You drink it with a straw. This place serves it more like a thick pudding you eat with a spoon, with nuts all mixed in it. Not bad, but not our preference for sure.
This seems like a family that can cook some amazing flavored Indian food if I could go to their house and get it fresh. I might even go as far and say it has the potential of being the best I’ve ever had. As is though, it’s ranked the worst I’ve ever had, which is sad. Not to mention the smallest portions for the price compared to the hundreds of Indian places I’ve been to.
