Had a really nice experience at this Indian restaurant. The food was flavorful and freshly prepared. The samosa is a must try — perfectly crispy on the outside and deliciously spiced inside. We also had Indian chaat, and it was really good. They definitely need to work on the ambience a bit, but overall it’s worth visiting.

Ordered Dosa and Chola Bhathura
Samabhar was watery/ diluted and served lukewarm.

Overall food was tasteless and not authentic Indian.

Total waste to money and time.

Update: The replacement sambar was just as watery as the first—no amount of stirring fixes a lack of substance. Also, the Bhathura was essentially a Taco Bell Chalupa. Providing more of the same low-quality food isn’t “service,” it’s just a repeat of a bad meal. Instead of finding excuses or blaming the server for a kitchen issue, focus on the quality and authenticity of what you serve.

India Hut offers an outstanding dining experience with authentic flavors and exceptional hospitality. The dishes are rich, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented — you can truly taste the freshness in every bite. The portions are generous, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality and quantity you receive, making it great value for money. The staff is warm, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. The ambiance is clean and welcoming, perfect for family dinners or casual outings. Whether dining in or taking out, the quality and consistency never disappoint. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Indian cuisine!

We have been there a few times. Most recently, we went there for dinner one June evening. Parking was plentiful in the parking lot outside. We ordered a vegetable biriyani, a dosa, and chicken lollipop. The biriyani was just okay, but the other two dishes were quite tasty. The food was also reasonable priced and the service was good too. We would go back there again.

I recently visited Indian Hut Restaurant and had an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive.

The highlight of my visit was the food. The curries were simply phenomenal – rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. You can feel the authentic flavors . I tried Dal makhani, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had!

To top it off, their egg less pastries were a delightful surprise. They were fresh, beautifully presented, and the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor.

Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking for a great dining experience, Indian Hut is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

I ordered Mutton Biryani from this place for the first time, and honestly, the quantity was shockingly small for the price I paid—I’ve never seen such a tiny portion at any Indian restaurant. And as for ‘spicy,’ they seem to think it just means tossing chopped green chilies on top. First time I’ve seen that approach to spice. Including tip I spent more than $31 and totally disappointed. I don’t suggest this restaurant and not going order from this place anymore!!

Most delicious mango cake and Black Forest cake. A must try for any celebration!

I called the day before Thanksgiving to order one sheet cake of mango and one Black Forest. Understandably they were swamped with bakery orders. I decided I would try my luck and go in later in the day and see if there was anything available for me to pick up as they suggested.

But before I had a chance to drive over, I received a call from them saying to come over because they had since then prepared the cakes. How nice of them to call me back and let me know! I hadn’t even left my number. Truly wonderful customer service! Thank you for making our Thanksgiving so memorable with your delicious cakes. We will be back!

Stopped by India Hut for a quick bite and ended up with a meal that felt more like a full dinner! We ordered Samosas, Dahi Batata Puri, and Vada Pav, and every dish exceeded my expectations.

The Samosas were perfectly crispy, with a great balance of spices, and tasted incredibly fresh. They were so flavorful, making it hard to stop at just one!

The Vada Pav took me right back to Bombay. It was so authentic, with the right amount of spice and the classic taste I’ve been craving.

The Dahi Batata Puri was the star of the show—refreshingly cool, yet packed with an amazing mix of spices. It was not only super delicious but also felt light and soothing.

Overall, India Hut delivered on taste and authenticity. I highly recommend stopping by for a truly satisfying meal!

I was little skeptical to order from this restaurant but took a chance. This chain is much better in taste in NJ compared to other franchises:

Pros:
1. The food is really good. If you are used to Plainsboro Indian Hut taste, then you will love this.
2. All the biriyanis (except shrimp I’ve tried) are up to the point. Good quality pieces.
3. Chat items are too good. Tandoori takes time to prepare.
4. Quality of packaging is good. Little surprised with Chicken Lollipop as it was supposed to be completely sealed. Lollipop very salty and slightly over burnt. Otherwise no complaints!

Cons:
1. If you order food through Grubhub, its not a mistake from restaurant. It may arrive cold. Call customer service for compensation.
2. I would prefer the same chef from Plainsboro operating here. There is a huge taste & sodium difference between both!!
