Great experience! We brought a friend who had never had Indian food before and she loved it! The waiter was incredibly helpful in suggesting menu items for us to try. We got the butter chicken, chicken korma, and veg biryani and lots of different naan. All were fantastic! My favorite was the chicken korma. We will definitely be coming back again.

Just ordered a lunch special at around 2.15pm. I walk in earlier than the estimated finishing time and was immediately greeted by a very kind gentleman. He let me know my order was still being prepared and I sat in their waiting area and waited. They had lovely music playing at a good volume. They finished my order about 8 minutes earlier than expected. The food was HOT and i got it to go. Ate it in my car. The food spice level I ordered was a mild, as to not upset my stomach. It was the perfect amount, had all the unique flavourings included also. The heat from the spice was very mild, slight warming on your tongue. The portion size was ideal for one person, might have some left overs depending on how much you can eat. The price was also ideal at 9.99 from 11am to 3pm. The place does close from 2.30pm to 4.30pm which i was not aware of until right now. The location is great, lots of free parking. I would come back and refer others to this place.

I ordered one lamb biryani and one goat biryani, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The shop owner did mention that it was not dum biryani, and I agreed since many places serve a similar style. However, what was served did not resemble biryani at all—it was simply plain rice mixed with curry.
The taste was very poor, and this was honestly the worst biryani I have ever had. The rice quality was bad and did not seem like basmati; it felt like regular plain rice. On top of that, the portion size was very small for the price.
Overall, the quality, taste, and quantity were far below expectations. I would not recommend this place for biryani.

Online ordering experience was good. Picked up the order right once I was notified it was ready, which was right on schedule. After that, everything went south. Came home to find we had only one small (not even totally filled) side of rice for two entrees (butter chicken and lamb korma). Our naan was over cooked, mostly dark brown. And to add, it had a long hair baked into it…delicious. We also ordered a side of Paneer Pakora, and those were unfortunately solid as a puck and dry as the Sahara. Spice level of our dishes seemed on point with our request, but that’s about the only positive I can pull out of this experience.

Party of Three! Had a delicious dinner tonight The staff is super welcoming and provided great service and food recommendations. We cleaned our plates as the food was very tasty from the Samosa, to the Naan bread, and then the main dish. Spices perfect and we all had mild levels We will be back!

Wow! I am beyond excited about this place! I saw they opened and had to try on opening day. You can tell a lot of love and passion go into this restaurant! The owner was so nice and talked with us for a while! Their food is out of this world good—like the absolute best indian food I have ever had. The butter chicken, biryani and tandoori were so good. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place. Their heart and soul went into this and you can tell once you try their food! Thank you for opening in Lake Orion and adding a bit of diversity to the area! Excited to have you guys!

We had lunch here today. Food was great, the owner was very friendly. We will be back soon! My sister lives out of town and asked me to bring carry out when we visit her!! Thanks again for making our dining experience very pleasant! Prices were very reasonable for freshly prepared food.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at Indian Haven. The portion sizes were nothing like what was advertised online—comically small and completely misleading. The food itself was bland, poorly cooked, and to make matters worse, I found bugs on my plate. The restaurant was visibly dirty, with an unclean environment that made the whole place feel unhygienic. The service was shockingly rude and unprofessional, and to top it all off, they actually called the cops on me when I voiced my concerns—completely unwarranted and outrageous. I would strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs.

So happy to find this spot! We had the tikka masala and the curry with garlic + cheese naan and we were really impressed! We used to have to drive all the way to Sterling Heights for a good Indian spot but now we found one closer to home!!
