We happened to go to this restaurant by chance and were very pleasantly surprised. It is very close to Hershey’s. The menu was EXTENSIVE – North Indian, South Indian, Indo-Chinese, Nepalese and much more. I was very sceptical about the taste of the food.
Our group of 8 ordered different cuisines along with starters.
All the dishes were delicious. Service could have been a little better but still good enough.
The food was as also not very pricey.
Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this restaurant to you all.

I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars. I came in expecting decent Indian food, but what I got was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. The food tasted stale, bland, and like it had been sitting around forever. The curry had almost no flavor, the rice was dry, and the whole meal felt rushed and careless.
On top of that, the service didn’t make the experience any better. It felt disorganized and unprofessional, and no one seemed to care that the food coming out of the kitchen was terrible.
The craziest part is that after I left an honest review, the owner called me begging me to delete it and even offered to pay me to take it down. I said no he wanted to come fight me and started asking me for my address. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about how this place handles criticism. Instead of fixing the food and improving the service, they’d rather try to buy silence.
Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about the quality of their food and how they treat customers

We visited Indian Curry Lounge in Harrisburg 2 weeks ago and absolutely loved it! The vegetarian food was delicious from fried rice, paneer curry, naan, fries, samosa to refreshing mocktails. Everything was flavorful and fresh. The servers and cook are all Nepali, and they made the experience so warm and welcoming along with the yummiest food. If you’re visiting the Hershey Chocolate Factory and craving Indian food, this is the best option close by with a large variety of dishes. Highly recommend!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Indian food begging served here. The Indo Chinese options like Hakka Noodles and Schezwan Noodles were great. Conventional North Indian options like Daal and Paneer Tikka were nice as well but not exceptional. I would personally avoid ordering the Biryani’s – the rice wasn’t cooked well and it wasn’t authentic Hyderabadi Biryani.

You’ve got to be kidding me with these 5 star reviews. Don’t be fooled by them. What a joke. Customers who give them 4 or 5 stars don’t know what they’re talking about they don’t know what REAL food tastes like because all the restaurants around here are awful. As a Philly native who’s had really good and authentic Indian foods from different cities, this place doesn’t even make the cut. My husband ordered take-out for us because I was in too much pain to cook. He ordered lamb tikka masala for me, lamb vindaloo for himself, 2x garlic naan, and 2 mango lassi’s. When he walked in, he said the place was empty with a sign that said they were closed. He said something looked sketchy inside and there were two teenagers who were at the front counter. They gave him one small plastic bag that contained both the hot foods and the mango lassi’s. When he brought it home, I was surprised by how poorly they packaged the food. I worked at many restaurants and packaging take-out orders is what I took pride in because I did it well. Hot and cold should be separated. They wrapped the drinks in Saran Wrap and it was still spilling/dripping all over inside. They were in small flimsy plastic cups. The lamb tikka masala looked unappealing. You could see the cheese curdles were not blended well. The “lamb” was tough and hard. Looked like it was old and overcooked because I could barely chew it and it was charred black! The curry itself was spicy, which shouldn’t be. He told the lady over the phone that it’s for his pregnant wife and the lady said she’ll make it less spicy, but it was spicy! The garlic naan was okay, but a bit charred. My husband reached for his mango lassi and the flimsy cup slipped off his hand and fell. The drink spilled all over the rug. He was so angry. Overall, the food is terrible and way overpriced. The mango lassi didn’t taste anything like a mango lassi. It was sour and had no taste of mango. What a shame. I was really hoping this would be good because I love Indian food and the positive reviews made it sound promising, but boy was I bamboozled! Again, if you’re reading this, don’t believe those reviews. The food is not worth it. I seriously want our money back. It was a waste of $51. It’s such a risk to eat out because the food taste just doesn’t match the price. There’s no value. And you just spent your hard earned money on it. Lesson learned.

My wife is a very tough critic of food as she is a geat cook.
She love the taste of every plate we have tried.
I personally can eat anything and enjoy it, but when ever we go to Curry Lounge in Harrisburg or now here in Lancaster I enjoy it very much!!!!!

I’m a regular at Indian Curry Lounge whenever I’m in Harrisburg, and for good reason—this place is an absolute gem. If you’re looking for a comforting, home-cooked food fix while on the road, this is the spot.
The flavors are authentic, rich, and consistently delicious—every dish tastes like it was made with love and tradition. I’d recommend coming here for the food alone, but what makes this place truly special is everything else: the Chef is fantastic (seriously, culinary magic), the staff is warm and welcoming, and the service is always top-notch.
It’s rare to find a place that feels both like a restaurant and like family, but Indian Curry Lounge strikes that perfect balance. Highly, highly recommended.

I’ve actually been to this Indian restaurant twice now, and let me tell you, it’s been an amazing experience both times! The food is absolutely delicious, with a wide range of flavorful dishes that truly capture the essence of Indian and Nepali cuisine.
Now, when it comes to the atmosphere, I have to agree with you. The music list adds a nice touch and sets a pleasant mood. However, I did notice that whenever the door opens, a gust of air comes in and it can get a bit chilly. But, that’s a small inconvenience compared to the overall fantastic dining experience.
The staff were friendly and attentive staff. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, creating a comfortable space to enjoy your meal.
In conclusion, despite the occasional gust of cold air, I highly recommend giving it a try if you’re craving some authentic Indian and Nepali flavors. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
