This has quickly become my partner and mine’s favorite Indian spot. Everything has been incredibly flavorful and all of the staff have been incredibly friendly! We love coming here there is obviously a lot of care and love put into the food.
The fried cauliflower appetizer is a go to and the mushroom masala is probably my favorite thing I’ve had. This place is a gem.

Amazing deal. Vegetarian dinner for two is $37 but includes appetizer, two entrees, two naans, and dessert. Insane deal and service so kind and unlimited chai and rice. The food not to mention is incredibly delicious and big portions. New favorite spot

We were at the restaurant for our daughter’s birthday dinner. The place was looking nice from inside and was pretty busy. Our appitizer order was veg. cutlet along with other food. They use the frozen cutlet and was not properly cooked and was cold from inside. We informed the person who took our order and he said ‘Okay he will inform inside’. He didn’t apolozied or offer another serving or gave us any discount for that. During our visit their the same person was talking with us without eye contact or smile on his face. He was like walking and taking orders. When our actual meal arrived, they first gave us white rice (which was free with our order) The rice was getting cold untel we received our other meal. They need to know to bring the meal together with right combinations. The lady was nice who was bringing our food to the table. We will think twice to visit again.

Went here on a whim, and it did not disappoint! Everything tasted amazing. All the food had such great flavor, and it was filling as well.

The staff was great… friendly and helpful. We had a great time and will definitely go back.

We had a delicious, peaceful, and very comfortable dinner at India Palace on a Monday evening. Thankfully they are open late. The beef vindaloo was recommended by the server and exceptionally flavorful. The chicken kashmiri and paneer tikka masala were also top notch. We tried the chicken naan and paneer naan—not items you typically see. They were tasty and made for scrumptious leftovers the next day. I also highly recommend the mango lassi; it was rich, creamy, and sweet—but not too sweet—very well made here. The food at India Palace Uptown had me raising my eyebrows—genuinely delicious.

Pretty good mango lassi. The vegetable samosas were not as seasoned as I would have liked but still tasty. Good garlic naan. I was recommended the botti ka masala and it was very tasty. I can’t handle too much spice and a level 3 (out of 5) had great flavor with a good kick. Comes with a generous portion of rice.

I have been dining here consistently for the past 4 years and it’s still amazing. This is the most underrated restaurant in Uptown. Unlimited rice with every dish, curry leaves you feeling like you just received the best hug and fall asleep into a happy food coma.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since 2018. This has always been my favorite Indian restaurant but I left dinner thinking wow it has really gone downhill.

Food
Chai(1/5). First of all it is listed as Chai Tea. For my non-Indian friends, that’s the equivalent of calling it Tea tea. Something we know some get incorrect but an Indian restaurant? Embarrassing. We also asked for strong karak chai. It was weak milky black tea.

Mango lassi (3/5). It barely satisfied the definition of a Mango lassi. Nothing more. Didn’t have that fresh taste, overly tart, it was more watery than creamy like the yogurt based drink lassi is known to be.

Chicken Tikka Masala (1/5)
Tikka. Tikka means fire roasted. That is also how it is described on the menu. What was served? A chicken curry. Not a chicken tikka. The first flavor that hits you? Tomato puree. This is my usual order. This dish used to wow me, how every bite could be bursting with flavor. Not anymore, the burst of Indian flavor the cuisine is renowned for is no more. Their Chicken tikka masala is non tikka chicken in a tomato puree with some spice. It did not taste bad but this is not what it’s supposed to be, far from what it used to be, and you can definitely find better elsewhere. We took the food home and modified it because we hate hate to waste food. Just look at the color difference afterwards. It’s pretty clear which has flavor and which is tomato puree.

Palak Paneer(2/5)
We specifically asked for spicy spicy, Indian spicy. What we got was practically baby food. The texture was right but the flavor was scant.
Garlic Naan(5/5)
Soft, fluffy, crispy, garlicky.

Service
Considering we asked for strong tea, spicy spicy Palak Paneer and neither were delivered; poor. After raising the errors in our dishes to our waiter, he (an Indian) did not even understand the difference between tikka chicken and what he had served us. Instead told us WE must be confusing chicken tandoori. This is how chicken tikka is supposed to be. We spoke to two other waiters, out of the three only one really comprehended what tikka means and why we were upset. He explained that’s how it’s supposed to be but they serve it non authentic western style. Pretty sad considering the restaurant is named India Palace. Don’t just take my word for it, see how rare and generic the positive reviews they get from South Asians are. Based on the huge departure in quality, I’m sure they’ve changed owners and/ or chefs. Either way, they’ve lost a once biggest and loyal customer.

This was my first time ordering from here. I ordered the BOGOF garlic naan, the Chana Masala, and the Chicken Tikka. I’m no food critic, but the flavors on everything was wonderful. Vegetables came with the chicken tikka and they were sautéed to perfection. The garlic naan was full of garlic (yum), and the Chana masala was flavorful and very cleansing to my pallet. Individually everything is delicious, pair them all together and it makes for a wonderful explosion of aromatic spices in your . Hands down, I would absolutely order from here again! 8.9/10
