Very nice Indian food truck. Sometimes a bit hard to make sure that they have all the food on the menu later on during the lunch hours, so consistency is a tad mixed. But quality is solid. I had the daal with rice, garlic naan, mango lassi, and mithai sweets.
The daal was quite good. Nice portion of both rice and the main course, very good for the price especially. Not too spicy but very flavorful. Definitely recommend if they have it.
The garlic naan was much too garlicky for me. Almost a bit burnt. Good portion but I just personally didn’t enjoy it much at all.
The mango lassi was very tasty, very thick. But, there were little pieces of what seemed to be either thin mango skin or plastic or something which took away from the enjoyment.
They also gave some free mithai sweets as well, which was very nice of a surprise. A bunch of different small pieces of sweets. Not sure what they are, but they were pretty good, kind of crumbly, quite sweet.

India on Wheels is a food truck that is conveniently located in Oakland. For lunch, I bought chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala. My husband and I thought that the flavors were OK but not as good as other Indian restaurants. The prices are very reasonable at only $7 for a medium size

Food was delicious! Lunch special is an absolute steal, for $10 I had lunch for 2 days. Large portions and extremely flavorful.
A bit of a wait if you go up and order since they cook it right there but you can always order ahead of time for pickup.

Pros: super affordable
fast
Cons: no gloves (with jewelry on) or anything sanitary while making the food
not tasty, the curry is watered down
the Naan bread was burnt
Overall, it’s a place for the young crowd that needs something quick.

Went here all the time back in early 2010s if you love super spicy food ask for the real menu. I ate 10/10 spicy there for months until the chef lady asked me if I really liked spicy. I said yes and got a 3/10 on the real menu I died.

Chicken biryani was bad. The amount of chicken was very little compared to the rice. There was no gravy, too dry to eat.

I was excited to try this but will not be a repeat customer.
I got the palak paneer and would not get again. It had a decent flavor but only about 6 pieces of paneer.
I also wanted roti but they were out so I settled for naan. It was served cold/room temp and tasted thick and like preservatives (store bought for sure). Even stonefire brand store bought naan tastes better than that.

I recently stopped by India on Wheels during my visit to Pittsburgh and enjoyed the meal. I ordered the Paneer Makhani large combo for under $10. You can’t beat that! The wait can be long during rush hours, so I recommend calling in your order ahead of time and once a try you will definitely get a good taste and next time your tounge wants same taste.
Thank you

I tried the Chicken Curry for the first times 2 days ago and it was the best I’ve tried anywhere. I went back today and got 2 Lamb & Rice meals and it was delicious and very affordable. Great service with a smile. I highly recommend.
