I’ve ordered the same two dishes from this location several times over the past few years. Every time it has been delicious, and the staff welcoming. Tonight I ordered malai kofta (paid $17 and change, left a $5 cash tip) and it is inedible and going straight into the trash. The curry tastes like nothing and has nothing in it. I have no idea what the misshapen chunks of hard stuff in the curry are made out of. Did not come with any naan like normal. When I picked it up the person at the registered did not greet me at all. I noticed my food and identified it for him. Still felt compelled to leave a cash tip on the counter (the person who cashed me out walked away as fast as possible) for the usually delicious food because I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life. Never purchasing food from here again.

Delicious food that I could eat! They made it with very little spice so I could handle it. The butter chicken was phenomenal! Plenty of leftovers for dinner, too! Shout out to The Indian House Restaurant, who not only allowed us to dine-in during take-out only time, but for doing it all with ONE staff member working!

I stopped by in the evening after visiting Highland park and decided to pick up a bowl of soup (since I feel cold)- due to the restaurant closings at 9pm. I chose their mulligatawny soup which I’ve had before at their Victor location. I took it home to eat and gosh it was a huge disappointment. It was like flavored water, not even close to the one I had before. I found only a few solid particles in it which looked like ginger pieces. It was very frustrating, I expected good quality, and I paid $6.99+ tips for it. I don’t think that I’ll return to this location again.

The buffet was cold, although the server was polite, the food was atrocious. In fact the food was so bad it’s out of comprehension how they charged us 17 dollars to eat such horrible food. I strongly believe food at prison is much better, as the food lacked the base ingredients that made the food Indian, there was a shortage of salt, although that is fixable the overall hygiene and aesthetic of the place is not. I would not recommend this place to anyone, as it is an utter festering ground for germs and bacteria. I am strongly disappointed, and actually aggravated please don’t invest your hard earned money into this scam and unhygienic restaurant!

Clean restaurant with plenty of seating. Server was attentive, and food came quickly. The menu had clearly labeled vegan items which I REALLY appreciated. The prices were great for how large the portions were. overall, good experience with deeelicious food that was packed with flavor.

We’ve had India House delivered via Doordash a couple of times now. We won’t order again. Both times, it’s been beyond bland, and two supposedly very different dishes have tasted virtually the same. Even the naan is bland. Can’t recommend.

I called just before closing time 9pm. Ordered Chickpea curry and paneer curry . The chef made the paneer curry after I ordered, and it was soo delicious . Excellent customer service for take out when it came to packaging , there were extra cutleries , paper napkins and also extra curry . So close to Hilton and UR Flaum . Recommend this restaurant if you are at the campus .

It’s fine, not awful, not great. I ordered delivery and got chicken makhani, garlic naan and chicken pakora. The makhani was very soupy and was much sweeter than it should be with very little other flavor. The naan served with it was under toasted. The garlic naan was appropriately toasted but had very little, I think dried, garlic, and seemed to be stale as it was very tough. The pakora was decent, but as that’s basically just fried chicken that doesn’t redeem much for me. All in all I wouldn’t say avoid the place, it’s okay if you’re not very particular about Indian or are hungry and need a quick bite. But if you’re looking for a really good Indian, this is not the place.

The food is always good the service was definitely good but sis not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. The new layout is nice and functional but The atmosphere is almost cafeteria like! Great place for a quick lunch or even dinner but not exactly the place for a relaxing relaxing with you family/friends… the food is absolutely the star of the show at India House and I will be back!
