I can’t really judge service or atmosphere because I ordered from Door Dash. My food portions were much smaller than advertised (mostly rice in 6 inch bowls) and the somosa chaat (where’s the samosas?) doesn’t look like the photo. The flavors were not that great—quite bland. I’ve had better Indian food. They did include a free small lemon rose drink, which was nice, and yummy.

So stoked to have fresh, delicious, authentic Indian food here in Watsonville!! I ordered over the phone and had all my questions answered patiently and politely. I’ll order through their website next time, but calling allowed me to order our favorites AND cover our family’s allergies. 90% of our order was dairy-free, and the majority of that was also vegan. Gluten-free options are also available if that’s your thing.
For reference:
– Chicken vindaloo is dairy-free.
– Samosas, spinach saag, and chickpea masala are all vegan.
– Naan is vegan IF you skip the ghee (clarified butter).
– Veggie korma has cream and is NOT vegan or dairy-free, but was my absolute favorite item today.
Delivery was fast and I was glad I wasn’t dealing with a delivery service that takes a huge cut from small businesses (like Dash that takes 20%). The delivery person was sweet and we had a great convo about how they are the folks everyone enjoys at our local farmers markets and they want us to be able to enjoy their food at home, too.
But can’t recommend enough. We will be ordering again VERY soon!!

I ordered takeout from here, and it was fantastic! The Chicken Tikka Masala was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, and the samosas were crispy and delicious. I’m a regular fan of Lamb Vindaloo, and while this one was tasty, I did wish it was spicier. I ordered on their website and opted for pickup. The staff was friendly, and the whole experience was smooth and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back! HIGHLY recommend!

Amazing experience with India Gourmet. The food was freshly made & the flavors were amazing. My family got Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, Samosas & Mango Lassi. All of these items were delicious, I especially enjoyed the Samosas, they were hot and crispy and the size and filling were generous. The chutneys were great as well! My order was fulfilled quicker than expected which I greatly appreciated. Overall, loved it!! Can’t wait to go back 🙂

So stoked to have found out that India Gourmet is now offering delivery. Food is so good! I used to look forward to seeing them at the Santa Cruz farmers market every week … but now we can have great India food at home anytime. Delivery service was great, their ordering system is super easy to use, food came hot and tasty, somosa was crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. We got a chicken tiki masala wrap for old time sake, and it was just as I remembered it. Also got some garlic naan ( highly recomended) and one of each of the bowls. It was perfect for the family with a little leftover for lunch and was a great deal.

Ordered chicken tikka masala combo plate and samosas from this restaurant, quantity was good could get two meals out of it. One of the most authentic indian food around santa cruz/watsonville area, would recommend it.
For me it was lacking some spiciness but that’s just my preference.

I ordered while hungry, so I ordered a samosa, a chicken vindaloo plate, and an extra garlic naan. Everything is so good! Everything taste fresh and the rice is perfect. I’m also glad I have extra naan. Pick up was super fast and easy. I’m afraid that I will be here at least once a week because it’s right by my house. So grateful to have fast, delicious and nutritious food so close. You have to eat here!! New gem of Watsonville.

We had an incredible dinner at India Gourmet! Everything we ordered was spot on. The Chicken Tikka Masala was rich and flavorful, and the Garlic Naan was the perfect pairing—fresh and buttery. To wash it all down, the Mango Lassi was thick and refreshing.
A huge thank you to the staff for the complimentary Rose Lemonade; it was such a kind gesture and tasted amazing. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious, authentic food and great hospitality!

This place is delicious! My wife and ordered delivery. We called (on Friday night) a couple of times but no one answered so we left a message. 10 minutes later, we got a call. The person I spoke with was very kind and apologetic for missing my calls. I’m SO GLAD we didn’t write them off.
My wife ordered chicken Marsala curry and I ordered Lamb Vindaloo. We also got a naan bread and 2 samosas.
The flavors of all the dishes were very well balanced. Unlike Indian food I frequently get where certain flavors overpower the dish, these flavors melded well together and were truly delicious.
I am SO happy to have great tasting Indian food in Watsonville! We will definitely be going back soon!

Ordered samosas, a chicken vindaloo plate, and a chicken tikka masala plate for delivery. The samosas came hot and crispy and included mint and tamarind chutney, both great.
The plates were delicious and filling. Loved the garbanzo and spinach sides. We didn’t find the vindaloo spicy, though it was tasty. Naan had a lovely char on it.
The delivery driver was very nice and they gave us a free sample of the lemon rose water, tastes like pink lemonade with a note of rose. Very pleasant.
Overall a great experience and we will definitely be ordering again! I meant to include a photo but ended up eating too much
