I’ve ordered several times from here via Ubereats and it was my first time picking up take-out at the store in person. The owner was friendly and gave me a a coupon to use for future orders which I was happy about.
Their butter chicken, chicken madras, pea pilaf and nan bread are delicious combination. It’s a perfect mix when you want something savoury and also are craving spicy food.

India Gate Exclusive Indian Cuisine served an absolutely delicious meal when I visited. I ordered the lamb biryani, yellow dal, garlic naan, and yogurt, and everything was fresh and full of authentic flavor. The lamb biryani was perfectly spiced with tender pieces of lamb and fragrant rice that tasted amazing. The yellow dal was comforting and well-seasoned, with a smooth texture that paired perfectly with the soft and freshly baked garlic naan. The yogurt added a refreshing balance to the spices and completed the meal beautifully. Overall, the food quality, portion size, and taste were excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving flavorful Indian cuisine in Newmarket.

Since we moved to Bradford; we never find good quality Indian food , because mostly here nearby restaurants don’t make actual naan they just use bread like naan maybe packed one ; I always disappointed; also curries have no good taste
But today I ordered through uber eats from This place and I am very happy after long time I get good taste . We ordered butter chicken , naan and laccha parantha , everything is delicious and have actual Indian taste. I recommend everyone try it. Now on I will order from here everytime; also dine in .

The lamb biryani was my favourite and the garlic naan with dal was so good, the owner was also very friendly. Gulab jamun was so good serve with hot. The best Indian restaurant I ever tried here in Newmarket.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience on New Year’s Eve. I ordered Achari Chicken Tikka and Chicken Biryani, and the food was horrendously undercooked. The biryani had hard, stone-like particles that made it inedible. I had to throw away everything and wasted $52, completely ruining my celebration. This level of quality is unacceptable, and I strongly advise others to think twice before ordering from here.”

We have been coming to India Gate since it opened in 2006, and the food is always freshly prepared, beautifully seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The Fish Achari Tikka is a must try: perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked every time. Dozens of visits, hundreds of dishes, and we have never been disappointed, not even once Totally love this place, one of my favourite spots anywhere.

Had an amazing experience with my boyfriend today, although it was the weekend the owner/staff offered us the lunch special menu which is normally for tuesday to friday. I ordered the chicken madras lunch special with naan, and my boyfriend got the lamb vindaloo lunch special with naan. The spice level for both dishes were great. The naan is freshly made and isn’t one of those cheaply bought and reheated ones. I think the naan’s that they make are so unique and extremely fresh! The guy who took our order offered us a complimentary dessert of Gulab Jamun which made the experience much more wonderful. Overall the server/owner was extremely hospitable! The food amazing! 10/10 would definately come again! I’m hoping to try their spiciest curry next time!

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is always amazing. It’s so fresh and savoury. The staff is incredible. They are very welcoming. I always look forward to any leftovers, as well. I highly recommend India Gate, if you have never tried it before.
