This is easily my favorite restaurant in Blacksburg. Great variety of dishes and almost everything I’ve tried here has been good. The Paneer Masala and Dal Makhani are my favorites. Even my dad who proclaims not to like Indian food has found dishes he likes here. My mom and dad used to really enjoy splitting the Tandoori mixed grill dish.

The staff is delightful if you’re dining in, and the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, and take-out is also an option, if you just want to eat at home.

Three of us went and were immediately seated. The food came quickly. The service was pleasant and ensured the orders were correct. The FOOD was beyond excellent!!! Not sure why this restaurant would have less than 4.5 stars. It is pricey for a college town but the portions are so much there are at least 2 meals out of one order. Well worth the cost. All items were fantastic: bread, entrees, etc. Love it! Definitely try this when you are in town!
Bathrooms were clean and spacious enough.

The two of us visited India Garden for dinner on a Tuesday evening. Being in the middle of the week and during the summer, it was almost empty. We were seated in a booth right away. Our waiter was attentive and punctual with our drinks, taking orders, and delivering our food.

We had an order of Chicken Vindallu and Chicken Korma. Both were quite good and went well with the side of basmati rice. The garlic naan was excellent, tasty and crispy.

The prices were reasonable and the portions were large, plenty for take-home meals, too.

The food is delicious with generous portions. Everyone enjoyed their meal with just the right amount of spice. We had a large group and the service was very attentive. It was a lovely place to have our Book Club evening out.

Visited this restaurant on a Tuesday around noon for lunch. We specifically picked this place because reviews mentioned that their lunch buffet was great. After arriving, I found out that the lunch buffet was only on the weekends, Fri-Sat.

Was a little disappointed, but still was wanted to try the food. The waiter (who was super friendly) seated us immediatelly and promptly served us some water. Most of the menu options were around $20 (chicken, lamb, etc..) ranging up to $30 for the fancier dishes (lobster, scallops).

I ended up ordering a lunch special chicken and vegetable platter that came with saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, some sort of chickpea/potato dish, a chicken leg, side salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber), rice, and naan. I also requested they make my dishes spicy. My wife ordered her own chicken Tikka Masala, but requested it to be not spicy.

Not a long wait, and the food came out hot and fresh, everything accurate to what and how we ordered. EVERYTHING was delicious! I was glad I chose the platter, because trying all the different dishes was very enjoyable. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her food as well. Portions were large, and the waiter was attentive and quick to refill our water when we were low. We finished by splitting a pistachio kulfi dessert (homemade indian ice cream) for $5. That was also very tasty, but not very much. Which was fine, because the rest of lunch was pretty filling.

The waiter mentioned before we left that they may be switching to an all-week lunch buffet in the next month or so. I would love to return and try it if I have the opportunity.

Altogether, the lunch for two + dessert was just under $50 with tax.

A little on the pricier side, but worth it for the outstanding food and service!

The Dal makhni had a strong smell of turmeric. Very bland. The palak paneer was okayish. And, usually I see more toppings over Dahi bhalle but it was overly basic. The inside was very dry and on the frozen side. Will not recommend if you are craving for something top notch.

The servers were nice.

Great food, sad to not see as many people in here on the weekdays. Great variety as well. Went here for lunch and got their chicken lunch platter and had enough leftovers to fill a box!

Excellent food and super nice staff. Love the Salmon Korma and Indian Coffee. We go at least once per week now. A hidden gem. We have tried a bunch of dishes, and have loved them all! My 10 year old loves their butter chicken.

The lunch buffet is a great deal. Food was fresh and delicious. Make sure you try the mango firni and badamee kheer (rice pudding) for dessert.

I didn’t know what to expect with Indian food in Blacksburg but actually had a pretty ok experience here! I came after game day and it was surprisingly quiet.

I got the chicken biryani and shared some garlic and regular naan with the table. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was pretty good! The naan was pretty good too. My own personal main complaint would be that the servers weren’t the most proactive with refilling water- they weren’t very available and we had to ask. Also, the chicken tikka masala was not good- don’t get it.
