There aren’t enough yummy positive words to describe this place. Do yourself and someone you love a favor….grab them and come here immediately.
We had the paneer karma, chicken tika masala, garlic naan, vegi samosas, rice pudding and chi tea…. leftovers in hand!
Started planning our at least biweekly meet ups here. Must eat again immediately. Raj is next level.
We came on a Thursday night around 7p, the dining room was empty – crazy.
Araz took care of us and he must have refilled the water 5 times he was so top of everything!
We started with chai tea, absolutely delicious. Love the creaminess and spices.
They bring out come crispy chips and dipping sauces on the house. Such a light and delicious starter. I could eat the dips plain.
We also got the chaat samosas. Incredible! The seasonings and textures paired so well, crunchiness of the samosas over a bed of perfectly cooked chickpeas with red onion and yogurt drizzle adding a fresh element. And they cut them to make it easier to share.
I had the lamb Korma. Incredible. Just the perfect blend of spices, creaminess. Comes with rice but their garlic naan is amazing and pairs so well with it.
My boyfriend had the chicken madras, also amazing. He didn’t want a creamy dish and this was perfect for him.
Everything was so memorable, i can’t wait to come back
I went with a southern Indian curry called Dalcha off their lunch menu, a curried lentil stew with chicken. I ordered it “hot” and was warned by the waitress. Spice level was about where I expected it, not quite enough to make me sweat, but very spicy nevertheless. Good flavor to the curry, hearty and filling with the lentils, no complaints.
I threw in an order of roti (whole wheat flatbread), since the lunch order didn’t come with a bread. It came out hot and fresh with my main course and was large enough to serve two people.
The complimentary chai was unexpected but appreciated. It seemed fairly typical in flavor profile, a balanced blend of spices. I prefer a lot more cardamom, personally, but that might just be the way my pops makes it.
Service was quick and friendly, with a waiter quickly topping off my water any time it dropped below 3/4 full. I’m not sure if that’s typical or because I ordered my food hot, but like the chai, I appreciated the attention.
All in all, it was better than I remember from my last visit, back when they were still running a lunch buffet. I’ll have to stop by another time or two and check out more of the menu.
We’ll definitely come back.
