Everything was really great. It started with an complimentary appetizer which was amazing.The food tasted so good and the quantity was awesome ! We didn’t expect such a big portion size and amazing taste. 10/10 experience and really good staff.

Service was so good!!! Super friendly waitress (she gave us a take out box without asking which was super nice) and food came quickly. It was tasty, and maybe after living in Vancouver we have a higher standard but to be honest the food was pretty good! We had chicken tikka and jalfrezi. Jalfrezi chicken was soooo soft and sauce was flavourful. Tikka was solid. Also, mango lassi enjoyers rejoice! The mango lassi was delicious. If I’m ever out in Sooke again will be sure to visit

Old school cozy Indian Restaurant located in Sooke. Food is good, I would specifically say that this place serves Indian Food which is adjusted to cater to the more bland taste, or should I say “Indian Food adjusted for White People”. This by all means is all good, since I have Canadian friends who can’t tolerate moderate desi spice levels. Chicken Biriyani, Butter Chicken and Naan Bread was alright, I would give all of the dishes 6.5/10 considering I am fond of authentic Indian delicacy. The staff, specially the young lady in the front was amazing and very hospitable, she made sure to follow up if we needed anything else and on the food, cheers to her for being a good host.
I prefer having Indian Food the way they are meant to be, masala kicking and spicy. I can totally see many people loving the food here. If you want to have Indian food, but without the spice, this is the place.
The one thing I absolutely loved about this place is the cozy setup and decor. This place has this old school Indian resto type of feel to it. Would be a bliss to visit during evening hours.

Wow what an amazing experience. We were 10 friends and went to the island. At lunch we had a bad experience with a local pizza and left. After searching, we could find this restaurant and went there just to fill our tummies. But what a pleasant experience it was? As our order was a little big, they offered us complementary veggie pakoras….which was nice. And when the food came…..everyone was stunned with the taste….reminds us of Dhaba style restaurants in Pakistan. We ordered Kararey Chaney, chatkhara daal and fish tikkaa with tandoori rotis and naan. And everything was almost perfect. The tandoori rotis were made with desi aata and some ghee on them. Ufffff yummmilicious! Must try things in Sooke. As we were so hungry, i forgot to take the pictures of everything. Sorry for that.

India Delight is my favorite Indian restaurant, and offers enough value that I eat here a couple times a week. The food is delicious and nutritious, with a mix of authentic and more Westernized dishes, lots of vegetarian and seafood options, and a kids menu.
Prep times are quick (often I have my food in 15 minutes or less), portions are generous, and prices are reasonable, but what really makes this place magical and keeps me coming back so often is one of the main servers, Gunjan. She provides immaculate customer service, always makes me feel welcome, remembers my order preferences, and provides good advice on what to order. Her open, friendly demeanor, and amazing, positive vibe always brighten up my day whenever I come in.

Indian Bistro and Bar truly impressed me with their authentic vegetarian dishes. The Paneer Tikka Masala was absolutely delicious — soft, perfectly grilled paneer cooked in a rich, flavorful gravy with the right balance of spices.
The Tandoori Garlic Naan was fresh, soft, and beautifully infused with garlic, making it the perfect companion to the curries. The Dal Tadka tasted homely and comforting, with a wonderful tempering that enhanced its flavor.
The Veg Pakora was crispy, hot, and well-seasoned — a great starter. To top it all off, the Lassi was thick, refreshing, and perfectly sweetened, giving a perfect finish to the meal.

This is my favourite place to eat in Sooke. The mango chicken is amazing and the butter prawns is an all around crowd pleaser. Mix the two sauces, they complement each other nicely.
The only issue is that I am not a big fat guy, because I wish I could just eat and eat and eat.
