I have no complaints. In fact, l’ve enjoyed the vindaloo, aloo matar, keema matar, and vegetable korma so much that they inspired me to try making them myself at home. I still haven’t nailed the vindaloo (one of these days, dang it!), but l’ve got the other ones.
Service is quick and friendly. Prices are very fair for what you get and they always have great specials on the board.
Thank you for all the wonderful meals, India Chaat.
The food itself was insanely good. The butter chicken was creamy and flavorful, the tikka had a perfect smoky char, and the garlic naan was soft with just the right amount of crisp. Everything came out hot and fresh. Portion sizes were generous too, so you definitely get your money’s worth.
The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, not too loud, and perfect for either a casual meal or a nicer dinner. You can tell they care about quality and presentation.
Overall, this is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve tried. If you’re looking for bold flavors, great service, and a really satisfying meal, this is the spot. Highly recommend!
The owner and staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, which adds to the whole experience. Whether you’re craving street-style snacks or a relaxed Indian meal, this place is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend!
The restaurant was almost empty ,
the woman at the reception had a very rude attitude and was not even willing to provide a simple glass of water. I have visited many Indian restaurants across Michigan and Texas, but I have never seen staff behave this way.
She mentioned that she has been running the restaurant for 20 years, but with this kind of service it is not surprising the place is often empty.
Unfortunately, the food quality was also disappointing. I would recommend driving 5–6 minutes to another restaurant instead, as there are much better options nearby.
My Mom and I met my BFF here because we had one heck of a hankering for chaat. Visited on a Tuesday evening around 6:30PM and there were several tables occupied. Order at the counter and the owner’s family serves you at the table of your choosing. I would imagine this place gets pretty packed and crazy on the weekends so I will try to time our next visit prior to the lunch or dinner rush.
Walking in, you are immediately taken by the aromatic spices wafting through the air. There is also an electronic Menu Board with easy-to-read sections of items and their corresponding descriptions to guide you.
If you are placing a to-go order, you pay at the register. If you are dining in, there are table numbers and you can choose where you want to sit and you pay after you finish your meal.
Mom and I ordered a Mango Lassi each and shared the Pani Puri, Samosa Chaat, and Paneer Pakora – all excellent. Came with mint and coriander green chutney and red chili chutney. My BFF ordered the Papri Chaat and Chicken Pakora. Years ago, when I graduated from TWU in 2007, we had eaten chaat at Taj Grocers in Richardson – it was the only legit and real deal place at the time, and I have been on the hunt for something similar ever since. Most establishments, over the years, seemed to have missed the mark, but India Chaat Cafe wowed us and absolutely delivered.
The service was adequate and the food was ideal in presentation, taste, and true to my culture, heritage, and roots.
The ambience was traditional and inviting with a vibrant burst of energy to the space. Definitely somewhere you would want to come to relax and unwind. We will be adding this establishment to our list of restaurant rotations whenever we are in the Plano/North Dallas Area.
I wish them all the success and will be returning regularly for other Menu items in the future.
