This was my second time trying In-N-Out, and honestly, I’m still not impressed. I know the chain has a big following, but the experience just doesn’t live up to the hype for me.
On the positive side, this particular location in Yorba Linda is kept fairly clean. The dining area looked neat, the tables weren’t cluttered, and overall it seemed that the team does make an effort to maintain the space. That’s definitely appreciated.
The staff, however, left a bit to be desired. While they weren’t rude, they seemed to be just going through the motions. A lot of them were acting like kids, joking around more than focusing on customer service. The energy felt more like a high school hangout than a professional team running a busy fast-food spot. A smile or a bit more attentiveness would have made a big difference in how welcoming the place felt.
As for the food — it’s decent, but not memorable. The burger didn’t stand out compared to other options, and while it’s affordable, it just felt average. I didn’t walk away craving more or feeling like I’d want to come back soon.
Overall, it’s not terrible, but it’s also not the amazing experience that so many people rave about. Clean location and decent food, but the service and overall vibe really need some work. For me, it lands at 3 stars.
The burger was wrong too but that was a semi easy fix.
