This is a great place to get chow. The owner is awesome and was nice enough to open a little early for our VDF troops to get some breakfast before they had to go out and support the Fort Barfoot Renaming Ceremony back in March 2023. I recently visited on 11/05/2023 and they still have an awesome staff and great menu. Highly recommend stopping here before you leave.

Phenomenal tasting sandwiches! Great service. Reasonable prices. This place is a hidden gem on a run down Army Post Only concern is their posted hours are not followed. In other words they may close early or not open on time based on how busy the post is.

The wonderful kind people who work here make the best food around! I love the item called reveille. It has pancakes, bacon, eggs, cheese, hashbrown, and sausage all stacked up. I also had “The Burger”, in picture. Everything is fresh and made to order.

A very nice atmosphere with a unique rustic vibe. Live music on Friday night was fantastic. Our waiter was very helpful on aiding new customers in finding new interesting food. The ribs seemed to be the best value if your really hungry and their crab soup is solid. They are a little pricey in comparison to some similar restaurants but not too bad.

Although I only have them three stars, I will say their food is far better than army chow served by the units at Pickett. That being said, their service and quality of food is lacking. Multiple times my order was skipped over and I had to go back to the counter to ask what was taking so long. I was told they forgot my order and had to start again. If this was a one time I’d understand, but it was multiple times. Additionally, the food is average at best. It looks like they use the microwave more than anything else. However, I’m sure if I go back to Pickett, I’ll choose them over army food.

Their food is ok, not anything of too much quality in my opinion. You’d find better American food at Wendys. Besides the food trucks at the Px (which has way better food/variety of cultures), this place has been the only place for food besides the defac. The owners will not let you eat outside food in their establishment for “fire hazards” and “contaminants” which really all sounded like the first excuse they could
