We had the most wonderful dinner at Bocco Lupo last night! The Thunderdome appetizer was a fun and delicious start. Our table shared several pastas- the rigatoni, lemony chicken fettuccine (sublime!), and my smoked king salmon pasta shells. We finished with a divine bread pudding that was pure comfort food. Great service and atmosphere. This place is a little gem in Juneau.

I wish I could make this a 6 star review because that’s what this restaurant deserves! We were so lucky to grab a reservation (which you need) at this amazing place. The wood fired Calabrian spice cauliflower appetizer (which is HUGE!) was like nothing we’ve ever had before. And we also ordered a Salsiccia pizza which was so delicious! Then you add the personalized, sweet staff … well, now you know why 6 stars is what they deserve!

Great authentic brick oven pizza and delicious Italian dishes. The Thunderdome was a fun and tasty appetizer choice, and the Juneau Salad was excellent. Friendly service—highly recommended for anyone visiting Juneau

This place was amazing. We had heard about it online and heard that I had been nominated for a James Beard award. So we walked to it at the end of the night before we got on our cruise ship. We didn’t have a reservation so we were able to eat in the small area by the restroom and a cute little side table area. It was wonderful because we just wanted to try the pizza and have a beer. Crisis are great. Service was great. Pizza was wonderful. The actual restaurant is adorable with a big Woodfire pizza oven and fun artwork. I was very impressed that in the super packed restaurant we were able to walk in the street sit down at a little table and eat our pizza. The lady in charge of the kitchen was awesome super friendly. Everything was spotless and clean. Very impressed. Easy to access anywhere in town. Short walk.Very unassuming.

Visiting from out of state and this restaurant was recommended. The food is the best in Juneau so far
The wood fired oven is in view, so it’s fun to watch your food cook. Had the roasted cauliflower with hot honey. It was hot and delicious. Good flavors and the wood fired oven made it crispy.
Had the goat cheese and bacon pizza. Thin crust, lots of cheese bacon and roasted garlic. Excellent crust.
The parpadelle and scallops was simple, scallops were perfectly cooked and a nice light tomato sauce.
We sat at the bar and while our server was busy as the bar tender she was very attentive and fun.
Will go back and I highly recommend.

Best in Juneau in terms of quality culinary execution and skill. Great use of ingredients, and creativity. This would be a very good restaurant anywhere, and it is great in Juneau. Dining room is a little loud. Sitting at the bar is fun. Deli is a little less warm feeling, but quieter and easier for conversation. Great gelato, take and bake etc. I really like the take home stuff from the deli. I miss the old pastry chef, but they still have good desserts. Eat here. Check the specials.

Best spaghetti and meatballs ever. Fresh made pasta. Authentic fire pizza oven. The hardest part is figuring out if what to actually eat because everything is good. There’s no wrong answer when it comes to the food here.

Color me surprised! My previous visit in 2020 hadn’t impressed me. But they definitely redeemed with our large dinner in 2025. Everything was just so delicious. We just let them bring us what they suggested … I don’t even know what much of it was, but it tasted superb! Especially the lemon tart. We were kind of a problematic group, as our size ended up much larger than anticipated, in a small space. But the servers were gracious and patient.

2020: Not particularly impressed for lunch. Had the meatballs and they were very dense. Flavor was fine but nothing to write home about. Had to ask several times for salt and pepper. I’ve heard dinner is great but I didn’t find anything special about the small lunch menu or food.

Hoped to love it, but it was a complete miss! The house special (tortellini) was ten small pieces of ricotta-filled pasta in butter sauce, for almost $30. No sides at all. Absolutely insufficient as a meal. We normally like pizza crust, but it was rather burnt. Meatballs in spaghetti were a significant extra charge, and were a mystery meat consistency. It stinks to pay so much and have some members of our party leave hungry.

Heard about this restaurant for a long time, was thrilled to finally eat here, and it was excellent. Portions were large, almost too big for a shareable plates place. We ordered three dishes and bread and it was so much food. The salmon dip was the real winner, the pandan mocktail was delicious. The front of house seemed extremely busy and chaotic but we still got our meal quickly. Honestly, it could have been staggered better. Overall, really good, just little details that could be improved.
