My husband and I used to live in Fairfield and we LOVED coming to see Ping and her family! She always knew us when we came in and she just had a way of brightening our day! The food was amazing, hot, and delicious. The atmosphere was perfect and clean. Unfortunately, We moved out of state and hadn’t been to Fairfield for two years. We couldn’t wait to visit today and have a nice lunch. We were extremely disappointed to see it had changed owners and that the place had gone downhill. The bathrooms were disgusting! The food was awful. It was cold and looked as though it was precooked and warmed up. We ate off of styrofoam plates and the food in the buffet was in disposable containers. The only tasty thing we had today was the soda ♀️ ♀️. The price was crazy for the quality of food. We will definitely NOT be back again.

We used to love this place before the ownership change last year. Prior to the change, the food was always high quality and the place was clean. Now the food is not made well, they are cutting corners by putting food in disposable containers while being heated, and the cleanliness has gone downhill. I used to look forward to seeing Ping & the rest of the staff, now service is essentially nonexistent. Not to mention their response to a recent customer finding a bug in their food. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning here.

This used to be a place to get a good quantity of good food, for cheap.
Since they changed management/ ownership their food has seriously degraded in quality and flavour while prices have increased.

I would give this place 0 starts if I could. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. I don’t typically feel inclined to review places, but out of the safety for myself and others, I felt the need to.
Ambience: I walked in through the side door and there was white plastic tarp covering the pastries/desert table. They have outdated decor; the register is hidden in the back; very awkwardly placed. Also, there are signs posted everywhere that read ‘Take all food you can eat but eat all the food you take.’ and ‘Please clean up after yourself’ at each booth… About the food waste…uhm, this is a buffet, what do they expect? I get that we as customers should all be considerate and eat what we take, but to plaster it everywhere seems in bad taste and tacky above all. I hear they charge a leftover fee as well!
Price: Oh! That’s the other issue. They are overpriced for the minimal, bland food they offer. $15.99 and I went during lunch hours. Those are dinner rates and a price tag that most Asian buffets charge if there are seafood options. The seafood option here is cheap lukewarm tilapia and an imitation crab egg casserole. That’s it. Not to mention you have to clean up after yourself when you are done, and you still pay that price? Ridiculous in my opinion.
It gets worse…
FOOD SAFETY: They have foam plates (tacky and cheap, I know!), and my first thought was ‘wont the food melt the plate?’. NOPE. Sure won’t. Why? Because their food was room temperature!!! a serious safety violation. There were meats like chicken that were cool to the touch and couldn’t be more than 70 degrees warm. It was a whole section of foods, like appetizers that had all room temperature food. their warmers must not work properly in that section. The entree section was only a touch warmer, but still under the 165 degrees, for sure!!
PEST ISSUE: I found a cockroach crawling up on a spatula where the entree table was. I pointed it out to the staff, and she just swatted away. I am sure they are so used to it already; it was enough for me to walk out and leave. I have never felt such dissatisfaction or disgust going to ANY restaurant before.
EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
But seriously, avoid this place. Save your money, get some sushi locally, or make a trip to another Asian buffet. This one is not it.

Food was awful and way overpriced, barely any options. The chicken was too chewy to eat. Had to pay before eating and clean your table yourself. Place was grimy. Found a hair in the food and left.

Food was ok but not great. Service decent, no real complaints. Atmosphere was quiet, almost uncomfortable. Went with some other moms and kids. After seeing the signs about customers being charged $8.99 lb for uneaten food our kids were scared to get very much food. Slightly ridiculous and we won’t be back. It wasnt very good.
