We went to this restaurant and there were several empty tables, but the server told us they were all “reserved” and that we couldn’t sit. We were about to leave, but decided to check OpenTable just in case, and saw that reservations were fully open for that same time slot. So we made a reservation on the spot, went back to her, and she suddenly looked annoyed and said, “Well, you can only sit at the bar.”
When we asked why, she changed her explanation, saying they were short on staff. But honestly, whether we sit at the bar or the table right behind it doesn’t change the number of customers… so that made no sense. Not to mention, a few minutes later, several groups came in and were seated at the tables we originally wanted.
As for the food, the burrata with prosciutto was extremely salty. The pastas were okay, not bad, but nothing special either.

atmosphere and service were great but food and portion size was underwhelming. staff were very friendly and attentive. the cocktail menu was not very special in my opinion. the food was good but nothing special or mind blowingly good. the portions were also small for the price. the flavors for all the pastas were balanced and cooked well but not much food on the plate. the branzino was good but nothing amazing. the best value for price was the fried pork with cheese on top. overall, i would not return but id still say its worth a try if you’re looking for a lighter dinner.

A wonderful dinner experience from start to finish. From the warm and friendly reservation taken over the phone, to the gracious welcome upon arrival, everything was perfect. We arrived early, just before 6, and we were the first customers. However within the hour every seat was full.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, with food and drink suggestions.
We came prepared for a lot of food and we were not disappointed. We started with a plate of olives, salami, and mozzarella cheese. The salami was cut paper thin and delicious.
Next we split a green salad. The greens were fresh and the dressing was just right.
Next we split a plate of spinach ravioli with tomato sauce. The flavor was delightful.
Finally the main course. We each had a fish dish, one halibut and one sea bass. The portions were generous, the fish was perfectly cooked, and the sauces were great.
Our server suggested wine pairings that were enjoyable.
We also had cannolis for desert. They were light with flaky crust and just right.
Overall a great experience. We will definitely return.

Walked into Impasto just as lunch was winding down and was greeted with warmth. I got a lovely table by the window, perfect for soaking in the ambiance. Service? Flawless. Attentive without being intrusive.
I started with the minestrone, rich, hearty, and full of flavour, followed by the porchetta, which was nothing short of spectacular. Perfectly crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, and beautifully plated over creamy beans and greens. A balanced dish in every sense.
Wines by the glass were decent, and the prices across the board were very reasonable for the quality. Between the food, the service, and the setting, this is a top-tier spot in Little Italy. No complaints, just compliments.

Walked in around 6pm on a weekday just to see if I could get a table, fully booked but had a full service bar! The hostess was also the waitress and was very attentive and knowledgeable, you can see right into the kitchen as well. Plates are a little smaller but the food is fantastic!

My partner and I opted for the 4-course meal priced at $90, and initially, I was a bit hesitant about the cost. However, we were very satisfied with our decision. The restaurant has a fantastic vibe, and the server was incredibly knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly and accommodated my partner’s preference for no raw meat. It was a lovely welcome when I arrived, like they were genuinely pleased to see me. My friends were a bit late but no one seemed ruffled or pressed in any way. Our server, Ludovic, was helpful in suggesting wines and dishes. We ate plentifully and well. A perfect spot on a blustery November night.
