Cool place. Great atmosphere with an interesting soundtrack and layout. A band was setting up while I ate and, it looks like they regularly have shows. Food options are pretty limited. My burger was decent but not notable. Fries were very good and salad was fine. Didn’t finish my beer… It was a rather mediocre lager. They were out of the Helles that I was hoping for. People that work and are customers there seem pretty fun and, they have an outdoor seating area that is nice to hang out at. I will definitely revisit.

A fun and quirky spot with amazing beer and just as fantastic food! My brother and I love English style pints and the English pale ale, Space Fork and the American bitter where too notch. The burger was juicy and full of flavor and the onions rings were superb. Just a fun place all around.

First time visiting this place but had tried their beers at various establishments. Really liked it! We tried a flight of beers we had not tried before and also ordered their smash burger and onion rings. All were excellent! Onion rings were cooked perfectly, crisp, not burnt, and the onion didn’t fall out on the first bite. The burger was delicious and whatever crack sauce they use is delicious. Enjoyed all their beer offerings, they had a good mix. My favorite yesterday was a tie between the Pretty Boy Shumway (refreshing brew with ginger) and the Minor Falls, Major Lifts brew. Great outdoor patio downtown and ample indoor space. Friendly service, good food, great atmosphere, delicious beers, can’t go wrong!

Great beer selection and the food was incredible. The smash burgers are delicious. The onion rings were thick and super crunchy. Also, the PB&J is delicious. Definitely would recommend it! Not pictured the BLT slaps so good the bacon is incredible. Still true! Onion rings are a must!

Surprisingly good food coming out of here. I don’t drink much so the selection of alcohol isn’t for me but the people I go with that do are happy. If I were to name the best burger I’ve had in town it would either be here or the office

Nice just out of the way spot, seemed super chill and a band was just hooking up to play for the evening. Reminded me of a cozy sking lodge. Got the swiss mushroom and fries, exactly what you want from a smash burger and the fries had an addictive BBQ flavored seasoning. Menu is small, few arcade games and I believe this was micro-brew affiliated, labels on the wall in the bathroom was a neat little detail. Would recommend.

NO SERVICE HERE. Well let’s start with getting service. There is no service. You have to go to the bar and order a drink and food. After you pay they flip the screen to you. And it starts with – of course TIP – and be careful high to to the left and low tip to the right. YOU HAVE TO BUS YOUR OWN TABLE. Why would you tip. I don’t tip at McDonalds or at fast food establishments. The food was ok , nothing that you would remember as “OMG, we have to come back. The burger was smashed. It was not dripping nor juicy. The fries were soft.
If I wanted soft fries I would go to McD’s.

Ilk Lodge is not just known for its exceptional craft beers but also for its mouthwatering smash burgers and a small, curated menu that hits all the right spots.
Let’s start with the burgers—juicy, crispy patties, topped with melty cheese and just the right amount of tangy pickles and special sauce. The buns are soft yet sturdy, holding everything together without falling apart. It’s a no-frills, all-flavor kind of deal, and it’s exactly what you want with a cold brew in hand.
But the real star of the show is the PB&J Bacon Grilled Sandwich. Imagine this: eight thick, crispy strips of bacon layered between slices of perfectly toasted bread, with a generous smear of smooth, sweet blackberry jelly that cuts through the saltiness. As if that wasn’t enough, the whole thing is drizzled with molten peanut butter, adding a warm, nutty richness that brings it all together.
Onion rings were good. Fries were fairly decent though stake fries or curly fries might be a better pairing.
As you take your first bite, let me tell you, it’s the bacon that steals the show. Every bite is an explosion of flavor, but the bacon’s crispiness and savory goodness are what linger on your palate, making you crave the next bite even more. The peanut butter just slides off the bacon as soon as it hits your mouth. The jelly was not too strong and felt like it was mostly absorbed by the bread.
The “Fresh Beer” was a fantastic pairing with the bacon PB and J. It completely changed the flavor profile.
Ilk lodge might have a limited menu, but what they do, they do incredibly well. If you’re in the mood for an unforgettable bite paired with a great brew, this is the spot to hit up. Don’t miss out on that PB&J Bacon Grilled Sandwich—it’s a game-changer. Enjoy!

10/10 making it a regular. Chill, low-key, low-lit bar vibes, but not a dive. A true blast to my family’s past. Acid fae haven. Katau burger is a smack for anyone. Fries are shoestring style and perfect. Self-serve condiments n nappies, and very lax bartenders (in a good way) great tap selection! And a perfect pour each time. So great flavor. My best buddy commented on like the style of glasses, and the print! So props. Nice not having a mug for once, and having a nice lip. It gives more-a-sip than a chug and this place brings that vibe full circle. Good laughs, good space, don’t feel spotlighted nor crowded. Great beer glasses. Def a signature. Thanks guys
Read through the bad reviews, and if you’re looking for complaints, definitely do that as well. Every bar has a fly or two. You arent going to a dark cave to be in paradise. In this environment, almost every house gets fruit flies. Fermented foods, YEAST ACTIVES, ETC, all attract fruit flies. To complain about that is null. Go home, and get a box of Franzia. This place is for a few beers and if you want food, get it. They do local beef. This is where you come when you don’t want to be a part of Olympia tourism and you just want to be home away from home, in a cozy but spacious bar with great music. And yeah, you have to wait in line, because you aren’t the center of the universe. Give grace to others. So to all the bad reviews, try actually working at a bar.
Or just working at all.
For once in your life.
I rest my case.
If you aren’t a misfit, don’t come here. And you won’t be disappointed. Everyone else? Come one come all. No need to be slighted by a shard. These people are chill. Give them your respect and your best.

What a beautiful burger!! …and good beer? Say no more. This is my new favorite spot. The basic smashburger is really good, but why not jazz it up with some lettuce and tomato? Perfection.
