The food was outstanding, cooked with care and full of flavor. The restaurant felt spotless, plus the staff was welcoming and attentive. Portions were generous, prices reasonable, and service was quick. A truly enjoyable dining experience.

My first time there and when I walked in they had me singing Karaoke lol. I loved the energy, Lla Mae and crew are professional, fun and big Rod Wave fans. I ordered salmon, double rice and yams, 8.5/10 only because I was set on some turkey wings fr lol. Stop by and sing your favorite Rod Wave song while you wait for your delicious food

I stopped in around lunchtime after leaving the justice complex and had a wonderful meal. The fish sandwich I ordered was full of flavor, very filling, seasoned just right and offered at a great price. I chose the salmon option, which arrived with crisp shredded lettuce, plenty of ripe tomatoes, a smooth white sauce that reminded me of a mix of tartar and ranch, along with peppers and onions. The portion was so large that I needed a fork and knife to enjoy it. The fried mushrooms were exactly what I hoped for. I plan to return for another meal soon.

I was highly disappointed with the sides I got the Nubian wings were so good , not to spicy but that sweet kick to them made it worth the experience. But let’s get into the sides the cabbage has to be cooked in water and no seasoning what so ever the rice and gravy no seasoning the Mac and cheese very disappointing, that type of food is made for elderly people honestly, that can’t have to much seasoning. For almost 50 dollars and didn’t enjoy it was very upsetting. All the reviews I read today I should of believed them wanting to give the benefit of the doubt but save your money fr

Great food!!! Well prepared. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Generous servings. Fast service.
They also have an African store that sells dashikis (made in Taiwan, go figure ), other articles of clothing, and soaps, body butters, jewelery items and other things.
I had a great meal. I ate it in a relaxing environment while pulling over from a long day of driving. I got a hot dashiki for $10!
Sounds like a bunch of wins is you ask me.
Whether you’re passing through on a road trip like I was, or you’re a local, definitely check them out please.

I was looking for a restaurant to grab dinner before attending a graduation ceremony at the nearby Cure Arena and I came across this spot. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have an extensive menu of entrée, sandwich, sides and dessert soul food options (many of which have creative names) that are all full of flavor. The prices are reasonable, portions are generous and they provide fast, friendly service . The restaurant has a warm and homey décor and the counter staff was friendly. Parking is on the street.

The Mac & Cheese was flavorless, absolutely bland. My Nubian Tenders were so over cooked they were almost inedible and SUPER salty. I had to throw away the platter.
The Comeback was okay, but the food here used to be the bomb years ago. I may try again in the distant future by ordering different things, but they fell off.

I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but this was the worst dining experience of my life. I’m still nauseous just thinking about it.
First of all, the hygiene was horrifying. The woman had filthy, unwashed nails and was touching the food with her bare hands , no gloves, no care, no respect. She opened the food with those nasty nails, and I wanted to throw up on the spot. I had to literally spit from how disgusted I was.
We took the food home, hoping maybe the taste would make up for it. It didn’t.
The fish was dry and flavorless, like it was just dipped in oil and abandoned.
The mac and cheese had NO cheese. It was just wet noodles, soggy, bland, tasteless.
The rice with gravy? It tasted like someone poured straight curry powder on plain rice with no thought.
Everything was watery, falling apart.
Even a stray cat refused to eat it. That should tell you everything.
This wasn’t soul food, it was soul-crushing. Food like this should not be served to the public, especially not in a place that claims to be proud of its cooking. I hate that I wasted my money, time, and appetite on this.
Never again.
