The food was incredible! Great service and a nice place to go to and don’t even have to drive far. Then after a certain time everybody was dancing and having a good time I definitely recommend this place!!

Came here on Christmas for a nice dinner and was presented with a limited menu, which is understandable since it is a major holiday. Atmosphere was okay, with the lights being on the dimmer side as many other diners have pointed out. The lights also occasionally flickers, suggesting some wiring issue is going on. The service was decent at the beginning, where Kenny was friendly and responsive. However, when we pointed out a minor critique with one of the dish, he didn’t acknowledge it and simply walked away, which was disappointing for a fine dining experience. The chicken fungi and lobster bisque was our favorite, so definitely get those. The steak was dry and the sea bass tasted weird in regards to its flavor profile, so stay away from those. Overall it was a okay experience but could be better.

Nice little Italian restaurant close to the West End of Staten Island. Food dishes good but a bit pricey and NOT a BYOB. If your looking for a nice quiet romantic dinner or, a dinner with family or friends to talk, Do NOT go here on a Saturday night. There is a singing DJ that is quite good but the high volume is not conducive to the above mentioned! There is also a small dance floor. I have been here many times before and, I will go back but NOT on a Saturday night!

We celebrated tonight at a great restaurant. The food is always good here. Service was great it was a Tuesday night so not busy we got to pick our seats and also were able to turn off the tv for a more intimate dinner. Wish i had taken more photos. The Steak was like Butta. Did a Google search for Italian restaurants in Staten Island and Il Sogno came up as one of the top 10. I can actually say we Finally found A very nice Italian restaurant with great food AND service in Staten Island! The ambience, the decor, the Italian music, all added to the wonderful dining experience. The service was on point. We were not rushed, there was a small pause between courses, which is one of the things that I liked about this restaurant . There is nothing worse than just finishing the last bite of your appetizer and boom out comes your dinner. Another thing about the excellent service is that they do not clear any dishes off the table until everyone at your table has finished eating. Very classy! As I have learned from my father, who was maître d’ at a very upscale restaurant in Manhattan for over 40 years, it is a BIG no no to clear dishes while people are still eating at your table. It makes it very uncomfortable for the last person that is still eating. Now let’s get to the food. We started with fried calamari. Crispy fresh and delicious. For dinner, I had the Pappardelle Burrata . Delicious tomato sauce and the Pappardelle were cooked to perfection, Al dente . After dinner, we had cappuccino and shared a piece of Italian cheesecake. The place is nice. Ambience was very pleasant. The grilled seafood appetizer was excellent and huge. Overall portion were very generous and reasonably priced. My Pistachios Halibut was a little dry, however sauce was very delicious. Excellent selection of Red Whines, not so great selection of Reds.

100% lived up to the hype. Food was delicious, service was perfection, atmosphere was lovely and the entertainment was the icing on the cake. They even made my son something that wasn’t on the menu. I highly recommend this gem.

This is my second time at II Sogno. Both times were excellent. This past I had papardelle con buratta. The sauce was great, the pasta cooked perfectly, and the buratta was creamy. Service was amazing. We didn’t have a reservation on a Friday night and they still accommodated us.

Last night me and my wife enjoyed an excellent meal at Il Sogno. Service was very attentive, starting from being seated right away to bringing us bread, water and taking a drink order literally as soon as we sat down. They had over a dozen different specials to choose from and each one sounded better than the next. We ordered baked clams HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Also chose the stuffed Avocado which sounded interesting. It was topped with crabmeat and a shrimp cocktail with spicy mayo. EXCELLENT. For our dinner I ordered the angus steak and she ordered the squid ink fettuccine fra divalo. Both were incredible . Vibes inside were nice as they had live music during dinner. Overall a great experience. A hidden gem.
