I was visiting town for work and this spot came highly recommended by a local, so I decided to give it a try. Overall, I’d rate it a solid 4 out of 5.
The food was pretty good. It seems like pizza is their specialty, and that’s definitely what I’d recommend leaning into if you go. I was hoping for a few more pasta options, but that’s on me for not checking the menu ahead of time.
Service wasn’t the strongest part of the experience, though it may have just been an off night. My silverware was taken with my appetizer plate, and it took about 10 minutes to get new utensils, which meant my meal sat in front of me while I waited. Not ideal, but these things happen.
Overall, still a good experience and worth checking out – especially if you’re in the mood for pizza.

Another 5-star experience at Il Ritrovo! It’s such a great spot to bring the wife and kids. We shared the Fonduta al Forno to start—definitely get this if you like melted cheese and prosciutto!
We also made our way through three pizzas: the Margherita, the Boscaiola (the best mushroom pizza I’ve had), and a classic Salame. The crust is perfect and the ingredients are clearly high quality. We’ll definitely be back for a third visit soon!

Italy, here in Sheboygan! Pizza is amazing. Fresh, homemade ingredients with a crispy yet chewy crust. The gelato is also very refreshing but the Espresso Martini beats them all

THE BEST italian lunch restaraunt I’ve ever been to. You start off with some freshly baked bread that has the perfect crunch on the outside and a silky soft inside. For refreshments, I decided to try with the Lavender Lemonade which was sooo delicious. The food… was cooked to perfection. And our waiter, Dylan…. THE BEST. so friendly, knowledgeable, & attentive.

Use to love, love, love this restaurant for the Neapolitan pizza. This was my first and last meal when I arrived in Sheboygan. But the pizza has changed, it is stuffed with too much sauce and toppings, like an American pizza. The rest of the fare here, has not met with this tragic fate. Although, there use to be better rotation/options in the soup category. Hopefully it is just staff turnover and growing pains. I miss Joe on the Pizza Peel. And I miss the Duke of Devon, for the scrumptious English food, nothing like that around the area now…

Finally got to cross off the final VPN certified restaurant in Wisconsin, and it did not disappoint! The pizza was awesome, pasta options for the kids (not on the menu!) and the BEST espresso martini in America.

Some tasty Neopolitan-style pizza made in their wood fired oven. The complimentary Italian style bread and balsamic vinegar was a treat. I will certainly be back.

The atmosphere is nice, but it is a smaller (older) building, so tables are a little more cramped than I’d care for.
The food is excellent!

But what’s OK can you complain as an attorney-at-law? I came here and our business meeting. Had to meet up with some Hispanic partners from my firm as I am an attorney they came with their kids and when they went to the bathroom, they were looked up and down just because the children were in their pajamas out of nowhere. They said that we can no longer continue to order drinks. They had a limit of three drinks. This is on call for and this preposterous.

Everything stood out pretty great. What makes me crave this place more is it’s outdoor eatery and not just indoor. The smoke matches the flavor of the pizza, a wood fried taste.
