One of the highlights was the made-to-order ice cream dessert. It was so good—and big enough for about five people! I highly recommend this restaurant, we left happy and full!
First of all, the food was exceptional. The seafood was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — it’s such a treat to find a place that truly celebrates responsibly sourced fish rather than farm-raised options, which I deeply appreciate. Everything felt grilled, healthy, and vibrant, making our dinner both delicious and wholesome.
The service was a standout. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged — handling our meal with professionalism and care. The atmosphere was welcoming and kid-friendly, which made dining with our daughter stress-free and enjoyable.
A special shout-out to Elizabeth, the manager — she went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of. Her warmth, hospitality, and genuine attention to detail made our visit even more memorable. It’s rare to find hospitality that feels so personal and sincere.
Il Pesce delivered on every level — fresh food, great service, and a welcoming vibe. We will absolutely be coming back, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fantastic seafood and exceptional service in NYC.
And a side note to the Maitre D, when a client that has spent 325$ for two, gives you very politely constructive criticism, just say yes, I will pass this information to the management, even if you don’t do it. Don’t answer back “well that’s not what we were going for”. It’s rude.
This behavior gave us the impression that we were not welcome, particularly because we had a child with us. On the other hand, one of your male staff members was very kind and tried to support us. Nevertheless, this unpleasant experience greatly damaged our overall impression of your restaurant. It is quite surprising that an employee responsible for greeting guests, showing tables, and handing out menus would perform her duties so unwillingly.
I have traveled in the United States and many other touristic regions before, yet I have never encountered such disrespectful treatment. I am seriously filing a complaint against this employee, as I believe such behavior harms the quality and reputation of your restaurant.
