We were so excited to try out Il Leone and it did not disappoint. Their mushroom pizza and artichokes were a few of my favorites but truly everything we had was delicious. We started with drinks on the patio which had such a nice vibe we could have stayed there all night. The ambiance inside is warm and the staff were all incredibly welcoming. We will definitely be back!

The pizza is unreal — the Funghi was genuinely one of the best mushroom pies I’ve ever had. It’s exciting to see the NYC pizza bar getting raised! The artichoke appetizer was perfectly crispy and bright, and the meatballs were tender and super flavorful. The whole place has this warm ambience that makes you want to linger. And do not skip the gelato. It’s the perfect finish. Can’t wait to go back!

We heard about Il Leone opening in the area and were super excited to try it out. The waitlist took about three hours for us when we arrived around 5:45. First off, the vibe inside is beautiful with intimate lighting and close seating. The meatballs were delicious, though I wish they had been a bit warmer. We got two pizzas, the margherita (which I devoured and is why it’s not pictured) and the funghi. Both were good, but not in a wow this is the best pizza I’ve had in a while way. For the area (Park Slope), this is definitely up there as one of the better pizza spots, but not the best in Brooklyn overall. I’d come back once things quiet down because I don’t think waiting three hours is worth it. Still a memorable meal and the people working here are wonderful. Hats off to them and best of luck with the new place.

The restaurant is beautiful and spacious. I was seated at 5 PM although there was a short line outside before entering. I arrived at 4:50 and no line so it builds close to 5. The service was fantastic with great guidance on the menu and well paced food. Every element of the meal was incredible especially tasting the difference between the cherry tomato and san marzano sauces on pizzas. The gelato was standout and I will absolutely be back. The nebbiola wine was welll priced and outstanding as well.

Delicious place!
The service was great, they brought they wrong pizza but they immediately gave us another one for free. The baby artichoke was amazing and both kinds of marguerita were awesome.
Beautiful atmosphere too, lov it! We’re coming back

New favorite spot alert! Il Leone blew us away — the Margherita was perfection, the tomatoes were so so fresh. We started with the artichoke appetizer and meatballs, both total standouts. The space itself is gorgeous and cozy, with that kind of neighborhood energy that makes you instantly feel at home. And the gelato? Absolutely essential. We’re already planning our next visit.

I went to Il Leone several days ago and scored a seat at the bar. So glad they’ve joined our Park Slope neighborhood. So much of what I had fills the void left by good old Franny’s on Flatbush. The meatballs were exquisite, and the Funghi pizza was over the top. Amazing crust and liberally strewn top-quality mushrooms made my night. Ben is a kind and gracious owner/operator who made his presence known both physically with warmth and hospitality and through his wonderful food. Il Leoni’s bartender, Paul was equally friendly and kept things moving with a quick smile and excellent advise on what to try next. I wish these guys all the success in the world.

What a special little place! The lobster pizza is a treat and the Margherita a winner in its league. We can’t wait to come back and try the other pies! Excellent music, staff, and vibes all around.

Real italian style delicious pizza! We tried both the Margherita and the Funghi plus the polpette. Everything was very fresh and flavors are on point. The pizza dough was well risen and we felt very light afterwards. And they have GF options! Great evening spot for a drink, a glass of natural wine, a date and a bite. Low lights and cozy space. The place Park Slope really needed.
