What a gem! The food is absolutely tasty and amazing. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. Came here with two other people and we each ordered different items from the menu and all of us were greatly satisfied. The sushi is fresh and tasty; my great recommendation would be the prawn and chorizo starter – everyone on the table kept coming back to my plate for it.

Where do I start? We made a booking for a birthday celebration for 20 people. Booking was for 13h00 in the afternoon. The waiters were absolutely terrific. Our food was perfectly prepared as ordered and the service first class. They got the orders right although we were so many people. They gave us enough time between courses to enjoy conversations. We all ordered different starters, mains and desserts and nothing went wrong. The waiters were friendly and helpful all the time. I will recommend il Gusto anytime. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a meal. We in fact, enjoyed it so much that we only left around 18h00. Thank you to everyone at Il Gusto for making the birthday a memorable one.

il Gusto is always good. With the hot weather the restaurant tends to be a bit too hot inside, it’s better to sit outside. The food is always great and the service is generally good. The only small negative is when there is live music, it’s a little too loud and it doesn’t lend itself to easy chatting.

For many years we ordered half sea food and half Mexicana pizza to eat in or take away. With the new owner this is not possible anymore. Not even a warning about this. We usually ordered full pizzas if we are home the next day then we can eat the balance. If we are not home the next day we do the half half option then we don’t waste half a pizza. Hopefully the new owner will not miss two customers. The new owner is maybe not Italian as the Italians are known for service good food and looking after their regulars and all clients. It is a pitty that George and his family left.

We had visited Il Gusto in the past and had a pleasant experience. This time around, the food was pathetic, prawns were slightly black coloured and tasted off. The chicken pasta was awful, supposed to be creamy but the sauce looked and tasted like it was cooked without any cream whatsoever. Stay clear of these guys, something drastic has changed, oh and their toilets stink and didn’t appear hygienic. The worst part of it all is that the prices listed on the menu are all ex vat which I think is such a con. They add the vat at the end only once you get the bill, this is just lousy.

What a pleasant surprise. This is a very warm and friendly restaurant welcoming and invitong atmosphere. Loved it. And the pizzas was next level fabulous. Would go out of my way and drive over an hour to get there more. Fabulicious
