The food was delicately and flavorfully cooked. The waitress asked me how I wanted my salmon filet cooked (I chose more on the well side), and the chef cooked it to perfection. And the hell gire crab cakes were fluffy and seasoned to perfection. I only put squeezed lemon juice on my meal. All was perfect! The waitress was attentive, treated me like I was in her home by making me feel welcomed. This is a place worth visiting if you are thinking of a great date atmosphere or just a time to treat yourself to a well cooked meal.

We found Il Forno on OpenTable and decided to make a reservation for a pre-show dinner, and it ended up being a wonderful choice.
They offer a prix fixe menu that included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert, and every course was delicious. The pasta was excellent! You could truly tell it was homemade and freshly prepared, with rich, flavorful sauces that really stood out. The desserts were the perfect ending and absolutely hit the spot. The portions were just right. They were satisfying without being too heavy before a show.
The ambiance was lovely and cozy, and the restaurant genuinely felt like a little escape to Italy right in the middle of Hell’s Kitchen. Overall, it was the perfect pre-theater dining experience with great food, a warm atmosphere, and attentive service. We’d absolutely return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Italian meal before a Broadway show.

I have been to this place a few times before or after attending a theater show. I love these guys!!! So welcoming and fun, we light it up when I visit this play. The ambiance is amazing, every eating great food and having a great time. The kind of place you can talk loud and enjoy your time! This last visit, I happen to meet the owner, was with a group of people having fun and also enjoying the great vibes of this place.

We are in town celebrating my mum’s 60th birthday, and ended the night at Il Forno.. they went above and beyond to make sure the dinner was perfect & that mum really ended her night feeling special and celebrated. Our fantastic waiter Eric was incredible and truly attentive, the entire staff at Il Forno made this a meal/birthday we won’t forget!
I had the grilled chicken pizza and it was so good loved the pesto base compared to the traditional marinara base. My mum did the set menu and had a Caesar salad, chicken Alfredo & tiramisu – great portion sizes and food came out freshly cooked and hot!
If we are ever back in the city we will definitely return!

Food was very tasty, felt like I was eating an Italian friends house, Omar and staff we’re great, so sweet and asked many times how we were doing. Off the charts place, spaghetti was great.

The place is somewhat small but very nicely decorated and taken care of, and the staff are very friendly!
The food was pretty nice (would especially recommend the Chicken Alfredo pasta) although a bit expensive. All in all though it’s a very nice place to dine in.

The most delicious Italian food I’ve ever had in New York! The service was absolutely excellent — thank you to our waiter for the great mood and amazing food. There was also another guy who kept joking with us — his jokes were so funny! Huge thanks to the chefs for the incredibly tasty dishes. My favorite one was the mushroom soup — oh my God, it was unbelievably delicious!

We had dinner here before seeing a show down the street. It was a nice day and the front of the restaurant was open to air, which was very nice. The service was great and our food was delicious! Our group had the asparagus appetizer, beet salad, lobster ravioli, and the special red snapper with salad. Everything was good but the asparagus was the standout! We would definitely recommend this restaurant for a pre theater meal.

My daughter’s bridal shower was fabulous! Gustavo and Da’vid were awesome! Food was amazing. Atmosphere was incredible!! Not to mention that every picture taken had the perfect backdrop due to the decor in the restaurant! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish!! I would do every event here if I could! I honestly can’t say enough!
