Warm, relaxed eatery in a restored colonial-style building with brick-oven pizza & Italian classics.

We recently celebrated a family member’s birthday here with a group of 13 on a Sunday evening. It was the first visit for most of us. Despite the restaurant being full and lively, the service was truly outstanding. The menu is extensive, offering a great variety of appetizers, pastas, pizzas, meat and seafood dishes, and even solid vegan options for the one vegan in our group. Every single person agreed their meal was delicious. I especially enjoyed trying some of the more unique appetizers. The drinks and desserts were excellent as well. I don’t live particularly close, but if I did, this place would definitely be in my regular rotation. I’ll absolutely keep it in mind whenever I’m in the area.

We were in Somers and have passed this restaurant several times in the past and decided to stop in and try it this time. We were not disappointed. The associates were very welcoming and we were seated fairly quickly. Our server Theresa was great. She was very interactive with us and did a great job. The food was great. The pizza was delicious and the Penne Vodka was the best that I have ever tasted. The owner even came over and interacted with my grandson which I thought was great. This is a wonderful place to have a meal and even sit at their bar, watch sports and chat with the bartender.

EVERYTHING WAS SO DELICIOUS! For appetizers, we had the stuffed meatballs, the crispy risotto balls, and peppered tuna! Yummy and fresh! I can tell bread is homemade, olive oil was delicious and I do not care for olives, but theirs were very yummy!
I the clams linguine with white sauce….so light and refreshing. Be sure to save some bread to soak up the sauce!!! OMG! You cannot go wrong with the vodka penne or manicotti either! Love their $25 wine special and their French martini was on point!
Desserts: MUST SAVE ROOM!! The brownie was our favorite, but we also had the coconut ice cream, creme brule cheesecake, and a chocolate mousse cake! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Can’t wait to come back in March and June!!! Definitely will be a regular stop when I come here from Savannah, GA

I had my daughters bridal shower at Il Forno Kitchen & Bar this weekend and I can’t say enough about how terrific they are! Susan, the owner, was so amazing throughout it and the staff were so attentive and nice. The food was delicious. They set up all of the decorations I had and also packed it all up at the end for me. The guests were all saying it was the best bridal shower they have ever been to. Highly recommend!!

My favorite restaurant EVER. Have never had a bad meal, and have explored everything on the menu (the Veal Siciliano is a favorite, my husband lives and dies by the chicken parm with a side of penne vodka and my son’s staples are the “next level” pasta fagioli along with their homemade mozzarella sticks and of course, a tartufo for dessert). Rick, Sue and the whole entire team always make us feel like family. We bring everyone we can here – and always get rave reviews from our guests. Thank you for your wonderful restaurant and the wonderful experiences we always have when we visit!

Il Forno in Somers, NY, is a true gem that delivered an unforgettable meal. Owners Susan and Rick create a warm, welcoming vibe, making every guest feel like family. Bartender Jamie’s infectious energy and expertly crafted cocktails added a special touch to the evening. The 14 oz New York strip steak, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, elevated even further by a perfectly paired Cabernet Sauvignon that complemented its richness beautifully. The bruschetta appetizer was vibrant and fresh, while the truffle fries with their incredible sauce were simply addictive. The chicken française was light and flavorful, and the family recipe rice pudding was a creamy, nostalgic delight. I highly recommend Il Forno and will be sending friends and family here for an exceptional dining experience.

Love this restaurant. I use to come here for luncheons when I worked in Somers some 20 years ago. Glad I had the opportunity to go back. Food is amazing, prices reasonable and in a charming building. Make a day of it by visiting the Elephant Hotel Museum within walking distance of the restaurant. Note: Museum only open Thursdays from 2-4.
