Despite a few mediocre reviews, I risked it and I’m so glad I did! It was quite busy, but the 2 guys taking the pasta orders seemed friendly enough and up for the challenge. I ordered the Parma Rosa and the prepared sauce was mixed with cubed chicken then scooped into a pan and set on a gas burner to heat up. That does take a few minutes, but they move them around the burners in order so yours is up and ready to go over your chosen pasta by the time you get to the cashier. It even came with a garlic breadstick, which on this evening was really a generous piece of flatbread. It was all delicious! Granted, eating in the Brodhead Center when it’s busy can be a bit chaotic, but it’s a college atmosphere! I loved the food + the experience from beginning to end and will definitely go back whenever I’m on campus.

Nestled in a hotel, the gluten free pizza crust was good and the windows pizza was good. Service was quite slow, limited menu on a Saturday at noon. No regular lunch or dinner items available.

Il forno was great during Summer 2024, now that Fall has begun, the amount of food that they put + the quality of Pasta has changed. I got a fetuccini twice and both times the pasta (not the sauce) was cold + it was so loose that it would break easily when twisting with a fork

Located in the Brodhead Center at Duke and serves Italian type food including pastas and brick oven pizza. Lots of options with pasta and diner can customize order which is nice. Pizza are pretty good. They also have wings. All in all, it is pretty good, but it is very good for a college dining facility.

Got the short rib gnocchi: didn’t even fill 1/3rd of one of those small aluminum to-go bowls. $20 for a few pieces of pasta & an icecream-scooper-size of meat.
Bland taste as well. Not satisfied with the presentation, taste, price, or quantity.
