Very close to the Geneva train station, a really good Italian restaurant. The salad was very fresh. The pizza and pasta were fantastic as were the antipasti. We had a wonderful time at a very reasonable price. Great service in a traditional setting.

This place is owned by a customer focused restaurateur originally from Montenegro. The chefs are Italian though.
We tried the Minestrone soup, the spinach ravioli in tomato sauce and the pesto spaghetti. All three dishes were well prepared, ingredients were fresh, very aromatic and excellent portions.
The service was quick and professional.
Highly recommended.

We decided we fancied a takeaway pizza on the way home to our hotel. We popped into il Fornello – our reception was super friendly. We were shown to a table, given menus and ordered our pizza. The gentleman who met us when we arrived offered us complimentary wine while we waited – we really appreciated that offer, something we have never experienced before.
They had our food ready within a few mins and we were given a portion of hot sauce to try with it.
We loved the pizza, super base and loads of tasty toppings.
We can not recommend il Fornello highly enough, absolutely first class.

I was looking for a late dinner to take back to my hotel when I stumbled upon this charming pizzeria in Geneva. The restaurant had lovely outdoor seating and a warm, inviting atmosphere inside. A kind waitress greeted me in French, and when I mentioned I was from America, she seamlessly switched to English to take my order.
I chose the Capricciosa pizza—tomato sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, ham, eggs, and olives. Just reading the description made my mouth water. While waiting, I enjoyed a glass of red wine, easily the best I’ve had in a long time. The aroma of the pizza as it baked in the brick oven was irresistible, and when it arrived with its thin crust and lightly charred edges, I couldn’t wait to get back to my hotel to enjoy it.
At around 8 or 9 p.m., after a full day exploring Nyon and Montreux, this meal was the perfect way to end the night. The flavors were outstanding—authentic, satisfying, and far beyond what you’d expect from any chain pizza back home. Domino’s doesn’t even come close!
I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you’re a tourist visiting from the United States. It’s a true taste of Geneva hospitality and quality. Merci
