A True Italian Gem That Feels Like Home!
If you’re wondering what to order here, the answer is simple: everything. This restaurant delivers the kind of Italian dining experience everyone should have. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, and that warmth carried through the entire meal.
Every dish that arrived at our table was absolutely delicious—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with love. If you happen to visit when Mama’s stuffed squash flowers are on the specials menu, don’t miss them. They’re unforgettable.
Our waitress was exceptional: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. By the end of the night, my family and I felt like longtime regulars.
This is truly that place. Just go—you’re going to love it.

We are from out of state and traveling for work. After several disappointing meals in the area we were elated to fall upon this gem. Food was piping hot, fresh and definitely homemade. It was bursting with flavor and our whole table was pleased with their meals. Some of the best Italian fare we have had. And the service was top notch and atmosphere 10/10. We will definitely find ourselves back here if the opportunity presented itself.

Exceptional… dont know the actual tab, but I know I dropped $250 cash to the meal/barstaff and $100 tip to the chef. So for me… it was literally pocket change… but worth every single dollar. Pretty sure the “actual cost” would have been about 85-115 plus tip, thats 2 meals, an app, 2 wines, 2 cocktails. So yes definitely worth it.

What a great place hidden on a side street. The food was awesome and so was the servive. We had a chance to meet the ower and his wife…what nice people! The shared salad has a great house dressing. The veal parm was tender and very flavorful. The oil and bread were also very good. The atmosphere was very cozy and warm. Pricea are very resonable. Would definitely go back.

My girl and I had the luxury of dining at this beautifully hiding gem of a restaurant. For starters we had the calamari baccala salad snails and veal and peas. My heart was won over by the veal and the calamari so crisp it’s like they fried it at the table ! For dinner we had the chicken rollatini stuffed with broccoli rabe and prosciutto finished with a Marsala demi not a crumb was left behind. I got the ribeye which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our server was extremely attentive. We will be back !

Great Italian food at a reasonable price. For an appetizer, I had the stuffed red peppers. I got for halves of a small red pepper stuffed with sausage. It was enough to share with someone else. They were delicious. For my entrée, I had the pasts bolognese which was very good. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. It was an excellent way to end the meal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

We came across Il Fornello on the way to RWP Zoo. It was amazing!! The restaurant itself is adorable and very clean. The service was above and beyond and the food was delicious. Our server Brandon was awesome!! We had the meatball appetizer which was great. I had chick parm and my hubby had veal parm both delicious. Dinners come with amazing bread and a salad. Highly recommend will definitely return!!

The Italian restaurant provides a satisfying dining experience. While it may not reach the level of being exceptional, it certainly offers a good meal. The establishment is notably spacious, making it suitable for various occasions, especially family dinners. The servers contribute positively to the overall experience with their friendly and accommodating demeanor. Overall, it’s a decent choice for those seeking a pleasant Italian dining option, particularly for family gatherings in a spacious setting.

Update 2/14: From the best to worst. Absolutely pitiful service for an opening reservation on VALENTINE’S DAY. Our waitress gave an extremely weird reaction when we said we just wanted water to drink and 30 minutes into our reservation, we still had not gotten water. All other tables had received water, bread, additional drinks, appetizers AND salads. The place was nowhere near full as this was at 4pm. We left before we even got our appetizer. We were in the middle of the room and everyone around us was getting service, yet for some reason we weren’t? There appeared to be a manager surveying the room as well, but apparently our empty bread basket and empty water glasses did not deserve the same attention as everyone else’s! Completely ruined the day and seeing as every other place is now booked, my boyfriend and I are missing out on a nice Valentine’s Day dinner together. Will not be coming back.
This was the best dining experience I’ve had in a while! I didn’t get the name of our waitress, but she was extremely friendly and attentive. On top of that, service was speedy but not rushed, our waters were never empty, and our plates were continuously cleared! The bus boy was awesome as well and very aware of tables needing to be cleared. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The whole ambience of the restaurant was lovely and the pace was perfect. Can’t wait to come back and try some more menu items!

Cute, authentic Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The bar area is very small so most likely you will be eating in the indoor or outdoor dining room. They serve you bread and salad with your meal, the salad was ice cold which always deadens the flavor a little bit. We ordered the calamari to start which was slightly overcooked but not to the point of complaining. I had the tortellini which I thought was really good except I didn’t eat the clumps of prosciutto in top (it could have done without it as the mushrooms were really good). My husband ordered the baked scrod and said it was cooked well but liked the stuffing better at Uncle Tony’s. Overall, it was good.
