Great pizza + Great Service! This was my first time here. I had the chopped pepperoni & basil pizza and added garlic. Soooo good & I will be back!

I received amazing service from Bean. She was also training two new employees. I noticed it was one of the trainees’ birthdays because the staff brought out a birthday cake and card to celebrate their new employee. So sweet to witness restaurants truly caring about their employees and celebrating them.

There’s a message on their menus that says they don’t accept tips because they pay their employees livable wages. The staff’s display of kindness and community to the new employee gives me confidence their message is both true and inspiring.

I had an amazing meal at Il Focolare. Bean was my server and did an amazing job recommending a pizza that was half potato and rosemary and the other half that was broccoli and goat cheese.

I caved and also got the garlic bread as an appetizer and was pleased with the fresh garlic on it.

It’s a small restaurant and even smaller parking lot, which makes it intimate but also tough for parking.

I had a great experience here! There aren’t many tables, but it lends itself to an intimate yet relaxed vibe. The wood-fired pizza was very good. They have classic flavor combinations and more unique ones as well. I tried the Margherita pizza with pepperoni added and the rosemary potato pizza. Both were delicious, and though I’d never had a rosemary potato pizza, I thought it worked well. There’s a couple parking spots in the back of the building. There is also a “no tip” policy, but despite that, I felt like the prices were good.

Great, cozy, warm, vibe and atmosphere. Delicious food. The pizzas (we ordered the Margherita, Mushroom Pizza, Skyline Chili, and Spicy Pepperoni Pizza) were tasty and well-liked by our group.

I’m a vegetarian and tried the Margherita and Mushroom pizza, both of which were delicious. I’m not usually a thin-crust lover, but these pizzas were still delicious, particularly because of the high quality of the bake, dough crust, and tomato sauce.

Our server, Autumn, was very warm, friendly, and helpful, and made us feel very welcome and attended to.

Further, as Autumn overheard that it was my birthday that day, the restaurant gave us the Olive Cake as complementary with our visit, which was very thoughtful of them and of her. I’m not normally a cake-loving guy, but I actually enjoyed the Olive Cake because its sweetness level was more mild. In addition, the actual cake itself was a very soft, velvety texture, and a very enjoyable eat.

Overall, had a great experience at IL Focolare. Would certainly consider going again.

Keep in mind that the restaurant generally-accepts reservations of only up to 2 or 4 people; something to consider when making plans on how many people to go with.

Fantastic pizza. One of the best i ever had. 10/10

I ordered for pick up and the service was friendly. It was also ready at the exact time I was told.

I did order well done so the top of the crust was a bit burnt on the edge, the bottom was perfefect though.
I can’t fault them for that since I did order well done.

Just be aware well done at this pizza joint is not necessary like it is at other places.

Service was impeccable. The vibe was great. But the pizza….oh my goodness the pizza!!! I will be back again and again and again!! The anchovy pizza was by far the best I have ever had!! I am hooked and will be bringing ALL my friends!! I also was pleasantly surprised that you do not accept tips as a result of paying a livable wage. Thank you! I wish more establishments in the US would follow your example!

Nice little spot. Pizza is a 10/10! Great atmosphere inside, they also have outdoor/patio seating.
Limited selection on beer & wine but it’s available. I forgot the waitresses name but she was friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was being told I could do half & half pizza without being told I’d be up charged for toppings? Was kind of strange, wish it would’ve been communicated but I’m not letting it put a damper on how delicious the pizza was and great the spot is as a whole.

Feb 2026. Marjie, James, and I were in the mood for some Italian food after our wine tasting class in Harbison. We were a small enough party to finally visit Il Focolare. We weren’t too hungry after an evening of snacks – 3 pizzas resulted in some boxes coming home.

First of all, this place is AMAZING! We had the seasonal Brussels and Chèvre pizza, and then saw something being delivered to another table- please order the olives. They melt in your mouth and the marinade is perfect for dipping garlic bread or your crust into!
Savannah (I didn’t ask for the correct spelling) was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped us pick what to try as newcomers.
We even got to meet the famous Bean from reviews, and is also wonderful.
I didn’t take photos until the plates were empty.
They do not take tips- because they are pod a living wage! But if they did- they would have gotten more than a 20% easily. And bonus, because I loved the olives so much, they gave me a container of more olives. I have a photo that I will add to this later.
MUST TRY!!!

First time trying this pizza spot in Columbia. Ordered takeout, although there aren’t many tables, will try dine in at some point. Tried three pizzas, all were tasty, the eggplant was probably the standout. Dough had a good chewy texture, we asked for well done which probably helped. Toppings seemed a bit sparse, even for this style, which made the tomato sauce a bit too prominent. Overall though, good pizza and will return.
