Normally have good experiences at Il Corso but tonight was a total miss. Ordered the special ravioli and it came out ice cold. The server apologized but they didn’t go above and beyond to make it right. Other meals were lukewarm. Out of tiramisu for the night by 645pm (sounded like they didn’t make it for the day…on a Saturday…). Asked for more bread and never got it. Menu selection has also been reduced. Honestly, there’s better Italian restaurants in and around Palm Springs now. Sad because this used to be a favorite.

II Corso is an affordable, upscale Italian restaurant. This can be casual dining, or a sweet, romantic date. However, I wouldn’t suggest doing a wedding proposal. The pricing is typical for upscale dining. We split an entrée between the two of us, which saved room for dessert. (We are light eaters.) As is typical for upscale, sides are separate.
The food was delicious. We shared the Pappardella Norcina. We also had drinks, and while the wine list is reasonable, the beer list is limited, and yet, I was still able to find something that I like.
As for the service, they were very attentive through the meal. However, when it came time for dessert, our waiter seemed to vanish. As a result, we ran out of time to try one of their desserts.
I would definitely recommend II Corso, but schedule plenty of time. One hour wasn’t enough.

Food was good not great. Server was a nice guy but didnt get drinks for 20 minutes plus. Believe he had too many tables of 6 or more people. Loved the atmosphere but we were put in the bar near the front door so not that appealing. Would give them a second chance but underwhelming at best.

We ate here the first night of our vacation, and it set the tone for our entire trip. Great food, great service, and prices on point with the “upscale causal” atmosphere. It was my mom’s birthday and they surprised her with a cute birthday ice cream. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience here.

Love the patio, great for people watchers lol. Very high end white table cloth Italian restaurant. The octopus and Calamari is good. Love the romana pizza and the tortellini and lasagna. The service is good. Hostess is always friendly. Great location in the heart of downtown.

Went there for diner on an early Monday evening. Our little group of four had the octopus appetizer, followed by four different plates and some deserts. Excellent services, staff is top notch, good wine recommendations to match the plates. Our top favourite was the lasagna; it takes some audacity to propose such a familiar meal that almost every home cook a version. And it doesn’t disapoint. The whole group were very impressed. Second place was the chicken a la parmegliana with mashed potatoes. The wine sauce and the colors of the plate were excellent. Third place was the Papardelle Norcina; fresh pasta with mushroom sauce and italian saucage; excellent balance of the spicyness of the sausage vs the softness of the mushrooms; I personally wished that the plate had more colors dynamics at the levels of the satisfactions in mouth. Final plate was the Romana pizza that was also excellent; very tasty with a crispy crust. Deserts were pretty spot on too; our top pick was the Cannolo, zesty orange and very crispy shell. Awesome. Tiramusu was also above our expectations and the vanilla gelato with an espresso shot was also very good. On a constructive axis, we wished that the octopus was less chewy and more tender; might be false expectations I had. All in all, on a very positive note, the experience was awesome with a tendency to repeat the experience. Expect about a 80 dollars per person including wines and deserts.

I wish I was posting a better review… place is par/average. My deal breaker was when the pasta on the menu said it came with “black truffle” and when the dish arrived, I didn’t see black truffle on it so I asked where was the black truffle?… they responded with “it’s black truffle oil”. There’s a big difference between black truffle and black truffle oil and that needs to be written on the menu. We fine dine A-LOT, and we have never seen a restaurant mislead their customers the way this place did, and to make matters worst, not even an “im sorry” or a proactive “would you like to switch it for something else”… we asked to turn on the heaters 4 times.. we had to ask for bread for the pasta sauce, when bread should automatically be put on our table… was the food horrible? No it was not. Would I go there again? no I would not.

Great atmosphere, service, and decor. The food was really good also. Best of all has to be the service. Went with the family and could not be happier that this was our chosen spot for our Christmas Eve dinner this year. Will definitely be back to try other menu items! We had the calamari, blue oysters, and mussels for appetizers and tried the Calabrese pizza, chicken marsala, and a nice light salad with grilled chicken; all were good… definitely good enough to warrant another trip back to try those other dishes that looked like they’d be super yummy.
